Yeah I'm planning on it actually, just not yet, I mean, I was in the beta and all, it was fun, but it had serious issues that are still in the retail I've heard, like the long ass loading times between 40 seconds to 3 minutes just for a single race, and the framerate drops, oh god how I hated those framerate drops! In a racer, you want a smooth 60FPS to be honest... not 30FPS that dips into the teens when you're going in a straight line with nothing else onscreen except just your kart, the road, and the sky...

I sort of wanna' buy Trinity Universe, but I'm gonna' check out some reviews and videos of it first...

final fantasy 9 stuff

FFIX and XII are the only ones that I've finished on "good terms" with, the others I felt like I had to force myself to trudge through that shit

but before this turns into "MY FAVORITE FF ___" can someone with knowledge of PSP rpgs tell me about the remakes of Breath of Fire 3 and Star Ocean 2? When I was a kid I adored them, but how do they hold up now? Did they work on the translations?

e; yeah, that's the hat. I think it's neat-o.

I don't like renting games, nor do I like digital distribution, I like a hard, physical copy so I can see what my money has been spent on, and besides, with a rental I don't like that you can only have it for so long, I mean, if I could keep it as long as I wanted, and play at my own pace, then sure, but it's not like that really is it, and if it's a game I really enjoy, I'd like to go back to it in a few weeks or months or something, can't do that with a Rental unless you re-rent it...

Aaaaanyways, currently playing Disgaea: Afernoon of Darkness on PSP, just levelling my guys up in the Item World, oyeah I'm SO good I've managed to go through all 100 floors without ANYONE dying! It's actually a first for me, since I usually lose two or three people...

yeah i like hard copies to... but for handhelds i like the digtal copies... like brinigng all my games with me on my psp go

Playing US Earthbound on a ZNES emulator, and so far it's pretty good. My only irk is I find some enemies difficult if you happened to be underleveled, and it doesn't help that the beginning enemies near Ness/Pokey's house only give out 1-4 EXP, which can quickly become meaningless as you level up.

Finally beat Professor Layton and the Diabolical Box today. Really similar to the original but that's pretty much to be expected. Not sure if I liked this one more than the original. The story was more intriguing at first but some of the answers to the questions the game originally posed seemed kind of lame. I found the puzzles to be a bit easier this time around but maybe I'm just getting better? It also felt like there were too many characters to keep track of all the time. But these are really just minor gripes, I still loved the game.

How is Alpha Protocol? I know it got bad reviews and all, which is odd since Obsidian games usually get mediocre to good reviews etc.

I mean, I still want to buy and play it, because there's the part of me that thinks I'll really enjoy it, but then I've heard how clanky and bland the combat is, how stealth is pretty much non-existant even though they bragged about it, and the only good thing is the dialogue and story, but it's so tedious with the gameplay that you'll want to off yourself midplay.

I guess I'll just wait for it to go cheaper before buying it...

If you can bear the stiff gameplay and weird character animations (that really bugged me) the writing is decent and there's so many different ways you can play through, giving you a huge amount of replay value. I won't lie, though, it really is standard Obsidian faire at this point - rushed, buggy, clunky, but still a unique gaming experience. I enjoyed it despite everything it has going against it.

I would wait until it gets cheaper. It probably won't take long, and honestly, I don't think it's worth the full price. This is coming from a dumb 'ol Obsidian fan too.

Yeah, so I'll just wait until it's cheaper, and woo for Obsidian fans, lol...

Okay, so I ordered Disgaea 3 earlier today, since it's the only one I don't own or haven't played, although it won't be here until Tuesday/Wednesday anyway! D:

SIMS 2 plays pretty damned fine on this pc with max settings.

Too bad the game got boring fast after recreating my house and everyone's house I knew :*

I bought an PS1 today with Final Fantasy VII and VIII. Cost me 50 bucks. I feel like I did good :thumb:
first of all a ps1 is worth NOTHING. ps2 and ps3 can play the games. FF8 is maybe 30 bucks used or maybe 50 for a black label. thought overall you did good cause ff7 goes for like 80bucks
