What games are you currently playing?

playing dragon age~~

i started as a fem elf rogue with the "youre a bride that gets raped lol" backstory.

i made it past the battle where you light the beacon, it's pretty good thus far, but i liked mass effect a lot better, seemed more polished. also wtf i can't queue actions??? it's a pain in the ass trying to make sure everyone's doing what i want them to.

also i REALLY hate elves and trolls and all the tolkien races--can't anyone think of something more creative than fucking elves and dwarves >:I

i only picked the elf bitch because the human backstories didn't sound hugely appealing.

i chose an elf mage. i'm going to shoot for blood mage, sounds so pwn.

also.. i just did the beacon fight, too, but I fought that guy by myself.. my other 3 dudes just stood there. they weren't attacking auto anymore, idgi. luckily, the enemy kept attacking them so i just shielded them and they were invincible while i MAGIC MISSILE'd his ass. now i just woke up and am talking to booby lady kekekekekekeke

yeah if you put your party on the wait command--and even sometimes when they're on free moving--they just dumbly sit there with their thumbs in their asses until you tell them to attack something.
i saw that there's a customizable AI thingy, like how you could set up gambits in FF12, but right now the party only has like a few choices and slots so it's not as useful.
i dont see why they'd make those shits unlockable when all they do is improve gameplay >:|

also holy shit every battle is an ordeal. there're like 24198459234 orcs ("darkspawn") in every room. if you don't strategize and shit for every little battle almost you get whupped :(
of course that could just be because i'm a rogue--i'm noticing that it's a very gimpy choice compared to mage and warrior :(

probably made it unlockable so you have to micromanage at first, then the AI can do it all on its own later. idk, my warrior has like 8000000000000000000000 skills, but he can only use like, 3 from his thing. it's pretty gay.

also, as a mage it's not really that much easier.. i ended up dying like 4 times in a row on the way to light the beacon cause they send so much shit at you. it's more annoying than anything.

Finally made some time to play Ghostbusters. :boo:

After the torrent of shit that was the first couple of Ghostbusters games, surely they've managed to make a good one by now, right? Right? Please don't destroy my childhood. (It's actually not bad so far.)

im a mage and i still get my ass handed to me by leaping werewolves (i usually post two tanks at the doors so my archer and my mage are out of sight, but leaping just goes straight past). then one little overwhelm and my mage's dead. they all go for him anyway, even if i get alistair to taunt or threaten =/

usu with mages i have them wait to act until the battle's already commenced. the rogue pulls and the warriors intercept. mages pull a LOT of aggro so it's best to ensure the mobs are pissed at the tanks before they even start trying.

I've never had problem with Mages dying. I just keep them in the back with ranged tactics. Morrigan rapes face and she's saved the day a few times. I've always managed to have enough tactics slots by putting some talent points in Combat Tactics. You also can get some just by talking with the characters and getting positive outcomes.

The only problem I've had is keeping Alister alive. Seriously, it can be hard sometimes :/ The only time I ever switch to other party members is when I need to tell them to drink a potion. I'm using a sword and shield Alister, yet he gets overwhelmed quickly if there are archers in the area. The guy can generate some threat though. I keep him along always as he's a fun character development wise and his banter with Morrigan is entertaining.

Now Shale. He just dominates.

Seriously, like.. how the shit are you supposed to survive the attack on the town of Redcliffe? There's 20 skeletons.. and they seem to fall pretty fast, thanks to the fire. Then some fag runs up 'OMG WE'RE OVERWHELMED OVER HERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!' And they send another 50 at you.. what the fucking shit. I just made my main character invincible after reloading it for the 30th fucking time. I can't imagine what the console versions are like where they can't do that..

i had no problem. position your characters well and you should be fine. they send them in bunches of 5 to 10 (on normal anyway). i had a primal spec'd mage, a ranger and two tanks (sten and alistair)

High Hopes

Awesome Bro

I never had that problem, but the main area I had problems with the section in Haven afterward. I had Morrigan freeze or put all the enemies to sleep, then my rogue main and Zevran backstab everyone in sight, and it still didn't work effectively. Reloaded ten times before I decided to cheat.

i dont think you ever need to cheat, you just need to find the correct tactic. there's always one way or the other. it takes a while though.

humph... you're all ahead of me! im just starting the whole beacon-lighting thing after the Joining. Thats what i get for not playing for a couple days and then having to work the whole day 2 days in a row.

Don't spoil things. I'm far from the ending I think. I just finished Redcliffe (did the elves and magi first), and I'm disappointed by the lack of rewards for, oh, SAVING THE FUCKING KINGDOM (without killing the kid!). Though I got to play as Irving for a bit, which was badass.
