What games are you currently playing?

(Probably because I can play a home console game for 10 hours straight without getting bored, whereas with a handheld if I play longer than 1-2 hours it feels like I've been playing for an eternity so I have to turn it off, which means games take me FOREVER to finish)
I'm the exact opposite. Probably because I don't have my own TV so I'm always conscious of how long I'm playing on a console.

I downloaded a Sega Classic Pack from steam with the Shining force games, Landstaker, and a few other games I probably will never play. Apparently you can't use the in-game save systems. I played the beginning of Landstaker twice before figuring out I have to press esc and use save-states. Also I need to get a controller cause diagonal is a pain with keyboard arrows.

Shining Force must have been made by the same people who made GoldenSun. The yes/no emotes should have been my first clue. I didn't make the connection until I saw the shop menu which was exactly the same and characters had their own inventory. The font is the same and the battle view is similar. I think I'm going to like this game. Not many games have Centaurs in armor that are also playable.

Awesome Bro

Right now I'm back into DC Universe Online with a few of my mates, it's cool as always, lol.

I've just bought on the January PSN sales, Final Fantasy IX and VII for £3.99 each, which is really great, I wasn't going to buy VII since I didn't like it, but that was a while back, and if I can just get past the first disc, I might enjoy it this time around (The first disc is awful and drags on forever), and if I don't, meh, it's only £3.99, no big deal... and then IX because it's my second favourite Final Fantasy, I already own it on PS1, got the disc somewhere in this room actually, but meh it's worth a repurchase since one of the disc's is scratched anyway and I don't think it's playable... still not getting rid of it though, lol. I was tempted to buy VI too but ultimately decided not to... not sure why but meh, maybe in a few days if I change my mind, I've got a week left to decide anyway

So you decided to buy the shit that is VII in favor of not buying the BEST that is VI? Logic, there is none haha.

On the matter of FF7, I also decided to repurchase (way back that is) VII because it also had been ages since I played it and my opinion might have changed. After playing trough disc 1 I got tired of it again and still name it the worst FF there is (even 2 is better). I don't get the hype AT ALL.

I'm playing no game for that matter. Unless studying for my exams counts as a game.

I'm kind of wanting to go on a cheap RPG'ing marathon, so anyone got any recommendations? I really don't play them that often, so it's a pretty good guess that I've never played it if it's not FFXIII. A few I'm thinking of getting:

- Lost Odyssey
- Infinite Undiscovery
- Eternal Sonata (I hear it's a bit cheesy but w/e)

After those it's FFXIII-2.

II and IX are the only two worth anything in my opinion :x The rest were balls.

II had the best cast of supporting characters ever. They had more plot significance than the main characters. Hell, they were more of characters in general than the main characters.

It was a requirement of that universe for you to die if you were cool. Only the Dark Knight Captain escaped that fate.

So I tried playing VII earlier today and was like EWW THE GRAPHICS OMG WHAT THE FUCK AM I LOOKING AT?!, this was on my 24" monitor, so there is no way on gods green earth that I will put it on my 42" HDTV, so I put it on my PSP... adjusted the screen size myself (Since it's too small by default) and it doesn't look TOO bad, I mean, it's still hideous, but since it's on a smaller screen, you hardly notice the jaggies or anything, but meh, still playable anyway, just waiting for IX to download, since the graphics are a FUCKTON (A fuckton being a measurement of graphics that equates to around 12,537% of the quality of VII) better, and will look even better on my PSP screen :D

I finished FF9 on psp and it looks really good, well I thought it looked really good haha. FF7 Just aged horribly (it doesn't have the old school charm 1-6 have, nor does it look as good as 8 or 9 even on a small screen).

So I know I'm like super late, but I began playing L.A. Noire. It's pretty fun! (Also, I replayed FFIX on my PSP and it once again reminded me as to why it's my favorite)

Currently I'm beating Skyward Sword (35 hours of gameplay, and still a long way to go). I left Metroid: The Other M hanging, not because I don't like it (it's actually a really good game), but it's Japanese level of hard. I'll need a walkthrough and lots of practice. I've also started playing Brain Age for the DS, but in my new 3DS. It's still as fun as it used to be, that is, before I drown my DS in a can of coke. :( My brother bought me Rayman 3D, which I don't understand at all since he's also a gamer. It's terrible. Kind of like a bad copy of Super Mario 64. Finally, I got a bunch of games for my Kindle Fire. But I don't think they really count as games. Oh, and I definitely want to get in on the new Resident Evil. I donwloaded the 3DS demo, and it looks amazing.
