Alpha Protocol
People have told me time and time again that this game is terrible and the only redeeming factor is the storyline, where I've got to disagree, I mean sure the gameplay IS a little clunky but damn it's fun, I started my first character specializing in Assault Rifles and Endurance, just ran through the missions guns blazing and not caring whether I set off an alarm or not, but then only 3 missions in, I realised that the game could be more fun than it already is if I make a stealthy character, so I deleted my first savefile and restarted with a stealth/pistol orientated Recruit (I went Solider or whatever it is before) so I could build my character up from scratch (And unlock Veteran for another playthrough) and so far I'm loving it with no regrets, it feels like a clunky Metal Gear Solid game, I mean, it's got all the stealth elements there, but sometimes they either don't work, or the AI is just so stupid/intelligent because sometimes they'll see me a mile away when I'm behind cover, and sometimes they won't realise I've ran up to them until it's too late and I've given 'em a few right hooks and an uppercut lol.
But yeah, as bad as people said it was, I actually love what I've played of this game, the story hasn't really taken off yet, although an Arab is dead (I loved being able to choose live and let go, live and subdue or just blow a hole in his head, great system). It's just a typical Obsidian game, great story (So I hear, not that far yet) and clunky but amazing gameplay.
And then I've still got 3D Dot Game Heroes, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International and Resonance of Fate in their wrapping on the shelf, and tomorrow I'll have Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (Convined my nanan to buy it for me lol), and THEN next Wednesday, the bomb-diggity-fresh of all racing games, Gran Turismo 5, although it might be here on Tuesday since my dad preordered it for me as a birthday present, even if it is a week late, but hey, it's the Collectors Edition, so I can't complain. (Yay Collectors Edition!)
... Yep, the rest of my year is filled right now, then I'll buy all the games I missed in the Boxing Day sales, good times.
