What games are you currently playing?

Played Clear Sky just then, damn it's hard as hell, but on the most easiest difficulty, yet, and I still get killed by those bandits, and missions failing so quickly, it's quite annoying.

Why did they have to give it such a terrible generic name in US... lol.

Anyways,

So I bought Call of Duty: Black Ops on tuesday, and I've got to say the singleplayer is REALLY good, a little confusing at times, but it's on par with World at War as my favourite Call of Duty singleplayer, and I like how it's actually a sequel to World at War too, and not just its own game, although you wouldn't really know if it wasn't for the recurring character(s), but it was still a VERY enjoyable singleplayer, loved every second of it.

Since then I've been playing the multiplayer, I like how they've balanced it out since Modern Warfare 2, like getting rid of certain perks, making the pro perks harder to get, killstreak kills don't add towards other killstreaks, no tactical nuke, and no weapon seems extremely overpowered to be honest, but there's always going to be people who disagree and complain because "it's full of campers and laggers and splitscreeners and noob tubers" etc. but whatever, I think it's fun, let the haters hate, lol.

Alpha Protocol

People have told me time and time again that this game is terrible and the only redeeming factor is the storyline, where I've got to disagree, I mean sure the gameplay IS a little clunky but damn it's fun, I started my first character specializing in Assault Rifles and Endurance, just ran through the missions guns blazing and not caring whether I set off an alarm or not, but then only 3 missions in, I realised that the game could be more fun than it already is if I make a stealthy character, so I deleted my first savefile and restarted with a stealth/pistol orientated Recruit (I went Solider or whatever it is before) so I could build my character up from scratch (And unlock Veteran for another playthrough) and so far I'm loving it with no regrets, it feels like a clunky Metal Gear Solid game, I mean, it's got all the stealth elements there, but sometimes they either don't work, or the AI is just so stupid/intelligent because sometimes they'll see me a mile away when I'm behind cover, and sometimes they won't realise I've ran up to them until it's too late and I've given 'em a few right hooks and an uppercut lol.

But yeah, as bad as people said it was, I actually love what I've played of this game, the story hasn't really taken off yet, although an Arab is dead (I loved being able to choose live and let go, live and subdue or just blow a hole in his head, great system). It's just a typical Obsidian game, great story (So I hear, not that far yet) and clunky but amazing gameplay.

And then I've still got 3D Dot Game Heroes, Star Ocean: The Last Hope International and Resonance of Fate in their wrapping on the shelf, and tomorrow I'll have Assassins Creed: Brotherhood (Convined my nanan to buy it for me lol), and THEN next Wednesday, the bomb-diggity-fresh of all racing games, Gran Turismo 5, although it might be here on Tuesday since my dad preordered it for me as a birthday present, even if it is a week late, but hey, it's the Collectors Edition, so I can't complain. (Yay Collectors Edition!)

... Yep, the rest of my year is filled right now, then I'll buy all the games I missed in the Boxing Day sales, good times.

Resonance of fate
Damn awsome. The graphics might not be the best but all the rest is :)

Also the story line takes long to take off, i'm at chapter 7 now and all they've done is doing some jobs for clients.. (though there are alot of mysteries right now..)

the gameplay of this game is really fun, deffenly not as hard to learn as everyone makes it out to be .. I've only died 5 times so far (4 of those were stupid mistakes of me, and the first boss also killed me once).

I love the fact you can dress your characters (haha Leanna has a green and a golden eye on my save ^^)

I've got it in the wrapper but I want to finish Alpha Protocol first, and then Assassins Creed Brotherhood will be here tomorrow, and then I'll have Gran Turismo 5 sometime next week, so it's going to be hard to fit it in, not to mention I've still got 3D Dot Game Heroes and Star Ocean: The Last Hope International to play first, but I think I'm looking forward to Resonance of Fate the most out of these three games so I'll probably play through it first.

What did you expect from a game that came out only a year after the last one. normal dev cycles for big games are anywhere from 2-4 years (7-12 if you are ID or Blizzard)

STALKER Clear Sky, maybe I have a broken quest just like that mission in the swamps with the bandits, suppose to meet up some guy, still waiting. Usually, I reload and stuff, he may come. Not sure why, but maybe needs more patching.
