:s I lost about...104 lbs and have 30 lbs to lose before I'm at my ideal weight~ The best advice I can give to someone trying to lose weight is to really know what you're eating, and how much. Count your calories for a while and try to keep it at like 1200-1400. (I was only eating about 700 calories for about half a year, but I don't really suggest this to do for long periods...and if you DO, make sure you are taking multivitamins and being extra-careful.)
Cut out sugars in drinks. Drink MORE. Don't eat and then sleep, wait at least 4+ hours before you sleep after you eat a meal. Eat small dinners! Don't eat animal fats, except fish. Don't cut out fats entirely, stick to fish fat, nut fat, and plant fats. If you drink alcohol, there are tons of calories in those things. Try to eat your biggest meal at breakfast time or lunch time, and dinner should always be your smallest meal.
Definitely cut back on salt; try to replace salt with herbs and spices. I suggest garlic powder and onion powder. :3 nutritiondata.com is a great site to learn about what you eat, too. <3 It helped me lots when I first started out. Same with this site.

To strawberry: If you're hurting after exercise, here's what you should do. 1: Always stretch before you go into it, for about a minute or two. 2: If you do this and you still hurt, change what exercises you do. Your joints might be delicate, so do things like walking or swimming that won't put strain on them, or try pilates. (That's SO good for your back too, omg.)
Also,
@ bacon...how the heck can you say cabbage is not good for you? Cabbage has antioxidants, antinflammatory qualities, it's INCREDIBLY good for your digestion and keeping your digestive tract healthy, it prevents fats from being absorbed into you and reduces your bad cholesterol, and its packed with vitamins and fiber. D: Lettuce and spinach are two different things....darker lettuce is healthier for you, but you have to be careful with spinach, even though it's really good for you. It contains oxilates which can be harmful to you if you have gallbladder or bladder problems. Onions are also healthy for you, but eating them raw is not always recommended. Also, MOST of my weight was lost by changing what I ate and how much, and I in no means starved myself. >_> I only did exercise on and off, and am just now getting more into it for the last 30 lbs.
D: sorry if I seem like I'm mauling you like a bear; I'm just really into nutrition so I felt that I had to correct some of those things. Don't be mad at me!
Some of the best foods to stick to that are the healthiest for us humans are: Salmon, Sweet Potato, Blueberries, (and other berries) nuts (like almonds, no salt, not oiled.) tomatoes, leafy greens....etc. I really suggest reading whfoods :3 It's amazing <3
