don't watch love hina it's a generic harem anime with nothing interesting besides AWW CUTE. negima! is much the same but the manga showed sortof INTERESTING PROGRESSION outside the normal HAREM umbrella so it is a bit better but with less cute.

if you want cute you must go for ichigo mashimaro. it is the single most adorable series of any format in existence it is like the entirety of a perfect childhood compressed into 14(?) episodes. nothing else matters.

the manga, the manga was pretty badass but the movie tried to condense the ENTIRE gigantic fucklong manga saga into 1:30 and it was RUSHED and FRAGMENTED horribly. it was the same deal with ghost in the shell (the movie, not the anime, i actually like the series a little bit, atleast it doesnt star a prepubescent boy)

Its my current fix and as far as gundams go, its the most interesting to me.

I also recommend cowboy bebop. I think it just started over on adult swim so now would be a good time to catch it.

First off, ignore the suggestion of watching Negima! Both anime series were short, ignored the manga plot, and really screwed everything up. One of my favorite Anime is .hack//SIGN, but most people find that hard to get into because it is almost purely character development. I would also recommend Inuyasha if you just want something to kill time, because that series goes nowhere fast, and stays there. (In America, the manga is out to volume 35 or so, and it is only about halfway through. And, trust me, nothing happens until the last chapter of the last volume.) Or you could watch Hellsing. I liked that, it killed time, and it wasn't exacltly stupid.

i kindof liked that way back when, when i was reading the manga, i liked that it was a fairytale, and thought that was cute. but then 11351264564757545231421453466 years later nothing fucking happened. and the last episode of the 516552 episode long anime RESOLVED ABSOLUTELY NOTHING and the movie that came out right after that was a FUCKE9EUFJI4FOUHAWNG THROWAWAY FILLER PLOT AAAAAGGHGHRRRHRHH i fucking hate that series I HATE IT >8|

Monster, The Girl Who Leapt Through Time, Metropolis, Tokyo Godfathers, Perfect Blue, Paprika.

And some other stuff I don't know from who:

Blood+, Blood: The Last Vampire
