[Utility] Scrive 5.0 Alpha out now!

I'm also getting the /par at the ends of lines.  This is happening on the XP files only (i have not loaded any scripts yet).
The effected files are :
          - Battle Report
          - Character Select
          - Cheat input
          - Maplinks
          - Me's Visual Equipment
          - Mining
          - Option Menu
          - Quit Menu
          - Ring Menu
          - Skip Menu
          - Widescreen

The next bug is cosmetic, the font of Anti Event Lag doesn't match the others.

I have also found a few bugs in the the program its self.
- The show info button takes two clicks to turn the info off the first time.
- When the show info is turned off, the authors name can show (try the first then second scripts with the show info off to see this).
- When show info is turned off, the script window expands beyond the  Scrive window.
- On beginner of program (the first time) the To Add Script File window is behind the title window.

Other than these few bugs, I'm liking the program.

Alright I', sorry you are experiencing those, since we implented some of the new features it can effect others so we will get to working on those right away. As of now I have fixed the scripts you told me about and the /rtf thing is no longer a problem. I will fix the other bugs by next release but release a small update with the /rtf fixes and the new skin, thanks for using scrive :wink:

Alright time for a small update to fix a few of the bugs i found and everyone else found. I fixed the /rtf problem and added the new buttons and background for you to see! Alright another beta has been released. I brought back settings and got it as less buggy as I could and it actually is pretty stable. Always show info is disabled in this version because it is buggy. I added a new option in settings for the tutor on and off. You can now also see the new backgrounds(red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and purple)! The full version of scrive 3.3 will be released soon. In version 3.4 expect to see automatic updates and more!

When I try to type something in the search box, it automatically goes away, like if I typed nothing.

Thanks for the compliments! There is a new version now Scrive 3.3 Full!! It has search in it but settings is still not working so that is still taken out.

Also I have made the my scripts options separate from the main program so that the scripts you add all have there own program and everything.

I have added a program select at the beginning so you can choose if you want to start up the normal scrive or the program with the scripts you added.

Scrive 3.3 was finally released a while ago, and it seems to be working. It did have its ups and downs though.

In a few days a beta of the new Scrive 4 (Named Scrive Revolution mpossiblt) will be released. We have been working long and hard on this version and have added many things to help it be less buggy and work more smoothly.

I will post more info as we get closer to release but expect a completely different program then you first tried! As of now scrive is set up the sort of the same as scrive 3.0, as we get closer to release the layout and format of scrive will change drastically. A lot of things you see with scrive now will be different.

Thanks for trying scrive :D and 4 will be on its way soon. I know Scrive 4 was suppose to be out about a week ago but me and the company are working hard on making 4.0 the best version of Scrive. I guess that is why were releasing it in beta mode for that very reason biggrin.gif. But maybe by tonight or over the weekend for sure you will see Scrive 4.0 Beta 1! Also that reminds me all those who have connections of 56kpbs please do try out this version and tell us how fast it is cause it requires you to be connected to the internet. I think I may make an offline version for those who do not have high speed :D

Lol I hurried and 4.0b1 is finally out!! It has a few more features like those listed in the post above minus a few. Below is a list of bugs and a things to do list. -> Database responsiveness times out ocassionally on slower connection speeds.
This really isn't a bug, but I thought I might as well list it in case some feedback occurs where the database times out.

-> Adding Scripts results in a "Critical Error" message box.
This means there is something wrong with the script format, not the actual script.
This is an error in how MySQL processes the queries, and the fact that I don't clean up the input before it is submitted.
Because of this, MySQL throws a big hissy fit and says %&#* you.
It is an official error, that has no future of being fixed just yet.

-> Random Crash at runtime occured once for me. It may have been a one time thing, but I don't know...so it's on the list.

-> screenshots(which are now done through image hosts instead of through the program) come up with error so they have been taken out of this beta version.

Update: It seems 4.0 beta is having bugs on a lot of peoples computers including a common error. This is due to the database not being responsive. Alright a bit of an update it seems that a file was missing from the program, I am posting a new .zip now with Scrive.exe and the file needed in it so Scrive will work. All who have had that error message, you can download the file needed here:  http://Scrive.110mb.com/MySql.Data.zip so you dont have to download the new Scrive all over again. Yes, It says on my post above only one script is there for now. It has very hard to add scripts to the database so it will take time for you to see more there. We will add more through out the beta phase... also as for the search button on 3.3 we are working on that along with many other features on it. Thanks for using Scrive and posting your bugs,
