[Utility] Scrive 5.0 Alpha out now!

Well i released Version 3.2.4. I fixed a few minor and major bugs took some things out and added a few scripts nd features. You can see the full list of everything in the changelog below.

The next version version 3.3 yes I'm changing it to 3.3 will include the ability for scripters to suggest there own scripts to be added to the program, there script will then be reviewed and its always a yes then added to the next version of scrive. Expect 3.3 in the next week or 2!

We are also planning on maybe adding an option to make Scrive your own script organizer! So many people have asked for this feature and now we have decided to maybe place it in the next version of scrive. Now you dont have to keep searching your computer for all the scripts!!

• Fixed the Tutor bug where the tutor would show up no matter what you did.
• Fixed Settings window to be more compatible with the actual main program.
• Moved everything in the main window over s it can fix the problem with the screenshots and script selector
  overlapping the right side bar.
• Fixed text background to be transparent to work with all background colors.
• Fixed the no violet background option.
• Removed 3 options from View in the Menu Strip to help fix the un fixable bugs they created. You now must go to the settings window to turn off the save/copy buttons.
• Added ability for all windows except about archive to have the default background like the main window. They will also change color as you change it too.

Thanks o all who downloaded I will say that the next version is coming out within the week and like I said will have the option to contribute your on script into scrive.

Alright there is a new update available !! Version 3.2.9 see what updates were added a major update was added. NEXT VERSION OF SCRIVE WILL FINALLY HAVE THE ABILITY TO ADD YOUR OWN SCRIPTS!! I said this before but my team wanted to prefect the email function before we added that. So next version welcome the Script Organizer an option many people have been waiting for! So yes KDawg08 soon you can have your personal scrive.

Note: Next version I will also be going through all the scripts and adding the updates as needed. I wil be subscribing to all scripts topics so that if a update comes out I am aware and come add the update to Scrive Asap.

• To help me out and make it easier for scripters who want there script seen in the next version I have added a feature where you just feel out a form to suggest there script and then there suggestion will be emailed to me so that i can add it right away, this saves time for me. How about the ability to add scripts into the archive yourself. Simply to save on having to constantly download new versions.

A way to compile personal scripts into it for personal use would be awesome though so i don't have to keep this 5million page folder i could organize them with Dive easier.

Well KDawg8, Leon and all the others who asked for this feature it is possible! Finally Scrive has the ability for you to add your own scripts!! This means you can make Scrive a script organizer like KDawg08 asked for in a previous post. So have fun adding your own scripts to Scrive in the new 3.3 version coming out Sunday September 31st!

I had this idea a year ago, and everyone shot it down.  I'll take a look at iyour version sometime.  Also, have you asked each author of the resource if you can put their work in your program?

It is very likely we will not be releasing the program today, instead I may release it in beta mode just so you can get a feel of the add script option.  As of now our settings menu etc is completely dead and creates so many bugs we have to rework on that. We are also adding an option to delete scripts from the scripts you added and a much better script option. I will release it when I can get the settings menu to be a little less buggy.

And Totti, yes I ask every scripter for there permission before I put there scripts in my program.

so... you mean that this actual version of the Scrive is just useless? I mean... I have something like 180 scripts in a folder on my computer, if I cannot "throw'em" in this program, why would I need this at all? this actual version isnt a great thing by now... still waiting for a next non-useless version...

The new version is released now some features(settings only pretty much) don't work as were working on them but everything else works and so does adding your own scripts! The Download link is the same as in the download section or you can click here: http://scrive.110mb.com/Scrive.zip

- This is beta version 3.3b1 of scrive but everything works as planned no need to worry about a feature etc.. not working. We will release an update soon for the actual version 3.3 which will include a more specific search feature, the ability to delete scripts you added yourself and a settings file just to make the program more compatible. It will also include new buttons and backgrounds for the new 3.3 transformation! All scripts will be updated and will add more scripts with this update as well.

and Lucas Scoppio: What are you talking about, I never said that lol... I mean we cant release on time, and this version of Scrive is useless, your 180 scripts will be useful for this new version. You can throw them in this program all you want as the new version is released now.

It is fine. Also I may release a second beta tomorrow or Wednesday if not then sometime this week. The beta version still work as suspected it is just that the adding script feature is pretty new so were adding more features to that feature as we go along before we do anything else. So expect a few other updates within the days :D

I hope you do an adding script feature that allows to separate in differnt folders, like - VX>AUDIO SCRIPT or XP>GAME MOD, etc... and also name it instead of showing its address =\

Also, its not working properly, its just unstable when I get my scripts added, it stop aswering to any action I take, I still can press a few buttons but nothing change the folder and script Im actually seeing

Lucas all the things you said are pretty much what i was talking about in the post before about releasing small updates every so often this week. It will have those types of things with the name instead of the location and it will show the info on the script. For now it is easier to just use one listbox or the scripts you have added, I will talk to my co programmer about doing it for both :D. Also i dont know what it does that for you... it works fine for me but ill test it out anyway.

Edit: Ah Lucas did you click the your scripts will appear here as needed option in that listbox? For some reason when I click on that it does what you explained.

And RelWes what script are you seeing the /par on, or is it on the scripts you added yourself? Cause that is fixable on whatever script it is, the problem could also be how you saved the .txt (it says when you save it as ANSI that you may loose some of the code)
