As for me, I began using the MSpaint again, and I'm enjoying it.

I'm very secretive about my activities, but here's something I'm working on... Her name is Zynthia Arrexa. She's the primary bad girl of my comic called 'Psion Fighters'. I'll be sure to clean this up, add color, and photoshop to correct errors. Just pencil work so far. Scanner just picks up every smudge sadly.

Here's a water attribute Hybrid I drew a long time ago. Her name is Sapphire Terrata. She's a good hybrid with an energy level of 54 quadrillion megatons a second. This hybrid displays her power in my story 'Omega Force Hybrida'. I had to clear her face with MS paint. Smudges everywhere

Sapphire is known for her Hydro Lance attack.

This ship is called the SB-122-X 'Raptor Star Dart'. It's the heavy assault bomber of Earth Fleet X.
I'm glad to draw again. I should use rulers more... I might replace the aft booster from this design. :shades:

1 'Sub-Traycond' plasma grid array. (By the Traycond corporation of Earth.)
2 Photon bomb launchers.
1 Photon torpedo launcher.
1 Plasma shock bomb launcher. (variable yield from 800 megatons to 2 gigatons)
1 Plasma cluster bomber launcher.
2 Heavy Gatling plasma cannons. (Best used with powerful heat sinks. High burnout rate.)
1 Mine layer.

So I've had my graphics tablet for a couple of weeks now, and started messing around with Photoshop today for the first time in a while... turns out I've lost my touch when it comes to drawing by hand lol, anyone got any suggestions for practicing and such? Like what should I start off drawing to begin with? Spent an hour just messing around with the pen and tablet shortcut keys and stuff trying to make a workspace that works for me, still not there yet, but in that time I drew... a tree and a few random heads... and then closed the program.

Sweet! I like that. Looks cool to me. It reminds me of the Ending of that show called 'Angel' ( it was on the WB channel about 15 years ago).

The lines goes something like this:

"You take the 80 thousand to the left, and You take the 80 thousand to the right. I'm going after the dragon!"

Being outnumbered 2000 to one, and the charging into battle 'fearless' is the best way to go.

@HybridA: Thanks! Never seen Angel, the galaxion Empire was inspired somewhat by the irken Aramada from Invader ZIM, but there are so many inspirations for them!

Whoa! Dude Photoshop is an image editing program, you'll wanna use Sai for drawing anything from scratch!

And yet it's still one of the most preferred programs for drawing in (Or so it seems to be from all the communities I've asked in)... started getting used to it and added some keyboard shortcuts to my pen and tablet keys to make life easier too, although I've still not done anything proper yet other than draw myself a new logo for something I'm working on

Photoshop definitely benefits from a lot of brand recognition. Having Photoshop is definitely a game-changer compared to not having Photoshop, but that doesn't mean it's the best option. If you're going to really draw, you should find a bunch of alternatives and try them out before deciding what to work with.

For sketching, I've heard great things about Manga Studio. But "heard great things" is about the limit of my knowledge as I am not much of an artist myself.

I use Sai for outlines, then use photoshop for later edits, but-- to each his own.
