BlueScope: Im not gonna submit it. I ned the creators permision first:(
The reason why you don't see any non-RTP style is because the Forgotten Chronicle series is based on RTP graphic( exept the main character in the first game. This picture is from the second game) Another reason is because Im pretty good with using the RTP tilesets, so Im gonna stick with them:D

Here is an exampel of the world map system.

If you use this background picture for your worldmap, don't forget to credit the one who made it.

The red background for the enemy is kinda okay, while it distracts the attention being behind the party actor's name, too. Better choose no background but the empty one and just change the fontsize to white/that gray color you use there.
Pretty nice stuff, by the way...

Well, the background is red because it acts as a HP bar (so you can see the HP of everyone in your party).

@Wyatt: You should still go for a less-distracting color, maybe the same color with less saturation/opacity will do the job. This way, the bright color interferes with the otherwise pretty dark interface.

@Lene: There are only five posts by Angel, four of them hacked and one not containing the tileset... I'd be glad if you could upload this somewhere.

Are you actually coding all this, or is this all just image editing to judge appearance and placement?

I'd say at this point, it looks very professional. You are doing a very good job of working within such a small confine, while leaving plenty of room to see the map. I hope that the Group and Chat panels are possible to hide, though. Maybe if you hide the Group panel, have the HUD stats slide over to fit the corner.

I can't code some of it because Netplay+ 2.0 isn't out yet (i.e. for chat and party, etc). But some of it has been coded, like the bars, and the messages. But yeah, this is mainly an image to see how it will look before I start the main coding.

Hiding the panels should be possible. Maybe could also do what Guild Wars does - add a toggle to make the chat panel transparent (so still show the text but not the box).

That resolution script most likely already exists. Wyatt has been playing with changing Resolutions all the time, as well as the CMS that Yeyinde is working on in 320x240 resolution.

The windows are way too small, I think. Some things do look a bit too small in comparision to actual RTP or White Ties (well, I may be wrong, you placed no sprites on the scene so I could compare). Overall, however, I do think it fits, albeit a bit on the small side.

@ Diegoale2000:

I'm trying to figure out the structure in the left corner. It looks like some steps leading to a roof that has a house on top of it? Was it a part of the old perspective, or a work in progress? It just confuses me :*)

Other than that, the style that your game is painted in gives a feel of water colors, which in turn make for a very dreamy effect. It fits very nicely with the name of your game :)

*Edit:
@ Raiju:

I actually don't think the windows are too small if it's a specific type of architecture. Some of the castles through the ages have had very narrow and small windows because the people living there didn't want thieves and bandits climbing through to steal and harm them. It also protected against invasion: since the only viable way for an army to get in would've been through the big door.

Posting a screenshot with a sprite in it would probably let people judge the size of the windows a little better. The map seems scaled, so the windows might not be small at all.

The Building is done like that in purpose, it's not messed up, but you can't really appreciate it because of the screenshot. i might get a new screen that shows the whole thing.

@ Raiju - =) I think it looks right then. Some areas still look small in comparision (i.e. the towers with the bells and maybe the trees) but, overall, it looks quite sweet.
