The tops of the lamps line up too perfectly with the chains on the fence-thingies. It took me a while to figure out that they were two seperate things, and not one weird looking lamp.

Too bad it's in German, I'd love to play it if I could understand it.

Need an opinion on fonts. In my topic, I was told my font is pretty similar to Tahoma, and I should just use that one so people don't have to install a font. I'm not really sure I like it, though. Which one, A or B?

@Raiju: You should simply use a smaller fontsize on the first... I guess that'd solve the problem (if it's the default font, try 21). Also...

And that's where my language script makes his appearance! ;)

@rhap: The only thing that doesn't looks as great as the other things is the girl... her chest looks off somehow, though I can't tell why... (can't you leave away the clothes, like artists like me do? XD ). Other than that, I'd only reduce the space between the message lines...

German games FTW! :D (and please check out my language script - link in signature - for the sake of both the communities game stock and my personal peace :D )

@sabao: Looks like some hentai game / dating sim game to me... coincidence? ;) Anyway, the girl looks very nice...

@Diegoale: Doesn't rock me... give us some more ingame screens instead.

Nice screen, I like the first one. What's a broken meat?

In olden times, people who worked on a wealthy estate or in a castle had certain rights to parts of the food. Generally, the head chef would have the rights over "broken meats," which is food (not necessarily meat) that has been carved up to be served, but never placed on anyone's plate. They could eat it themselves, send it on to family members, or sell it. Quite a few inns and taverns of lower quality served food made from broken meats. That's assuming it wasn't pigeon, dog, or cat, that is. ;)

Awesome Bro

I love it when people have knowledge about factors in their game. A little research goes a long long way! Especially if someone happens to know a lot about the era your game is set in and you're making silly mistakes, and long-shot guesses ... They're hardly going to be impressed.

I think this is why so many start an entire era of their own. That way, no mistakes can possibly be made.

Good work, Raiju!

Stevo, you need to think about the downsides of such in-depth knowledge, too... jbart didn't knew the meaning, and possibly others don't, too... (can't quite tell, as I can't know these words as a non-native English speaker anyway). I have the same problem with my Japanese feudal era game, so I decided to change the approach: Make it a learning-by-seeing thing instead of 'prerequisite' (surely wrong used, but you should get the idea) that knowledge. So, the whole thing can be good, or can't, but just telling it is good because someone made some research is bad, and in that case, it'd be bad because some people had no idea what the person was talking about. Of course, if that broken meat isn't any important to story, a quest or whatever, it's totally okay to leave it stand as it is.

My four words.

Oh well, does German Games are really for the win! They can ussually keep up with Janpanese, and even be better then the average American game over here!

I agree, it´s not a bad thing to know what you´re talking about - but since most games play in a fantasy world, it wouldn´t matter much in those games, I guess.

I´d use the second font, Raiju, It looks better to me. Also, the Black-and-white-Style looks interesting. Is the whole Game like that?

@ Me™: Believe me, there´s enough bad stuff in Germany, too. I know just a few good German RMXP games, and most of them are no real match for the good Games from the US or Japan. I Guess RMXP is just not known enough in Germany...

So I think I could also post some screens from my game, the first one is much older than the second one, and please notice most Charsets are still WIP.

Nothing special, but I think the Graphics are rather nice and I don´t have to use much RTP. Though I have to admit mapping isn´t my favourite thing to do...XD

Now you might think "What the heck are those Sci-fi Guys doing in an Medievalish Village?". Ah well. I always liked the idea of joining the classic adventurs and Science Fiction... but don´t worry, its not going to be a simple "Knights get Pwned by Laser Gun Guys" Story... I´ll make a Thread for the Game as soon as I have the Intro finished, but that could still take some time.

Edit: Sorry about the spelling Error and the elipses abuse, I´m not a native English speaker. I corrected it.

Two things:

Major elipses (...) abuse, and awful shouldn't be capitalized.

EDIT: And, yes, the whole first chapter is black and white, with a few exceptions.

Unless the primary building there extends very far back, it is unrealistically thin. The exterior wall would generally extend to the back, if not all the way past the back of the primary building (thus making it useful as a defense, as opposed to poor excuse for a fashion statement.)

Wow, great that you know that. Learned something new today...
