Actually, it had five episodes. Not that it needed them or anything. -_-

Anyway, Harusame: I like how you combined the dark grass autotiles with the tall grass ones. It's got a really neat effect. But do remember to make some paths for people to walk on, like ccoa suggested. You might also be careful with putting oil lamps on top of a straw roof. I mean, only a little bit of wind could knock it over and set the entire house on fire. :P

Really hrmmm must've missed some then. Anyways.

The tileset coffee looks very nice. But the perspective on the computers seem just a little off...but maybe thats just me. And the background really doesn't go with it. But it does look nice for the most part

@neo rpgomaniak : It looks great, but it seems to me that your mapping is just a LITTLE bit too crouded... try taking just a few of the randomly placed shrubs and leaves and flowers out, or edit the tileset to make each one take up more than just a one or 2 square area.... map a L shaped peice consisting of 3 of those things and save a little space without taking away the mood. :)

The name is obscure and hard to remember. Personally, I'd give it a little bit of a more familiar name. There is a reason the rabbits on the leaves in FF6 are called Leafers, and not 'Engiinoza' or some other random crap.

While the name isn't fantastic, people come up with all sorts of crazy names in stories. Names can change. Give it a reason for the name and noone will care. Heck, most of the time people won't care anyway.

The monster itself looks like one of the starting critters you'd take on and is very nicely drawn - Painter, by any chance? - seems a little too rich with color variety to be a pixel art creation. I certainly think it's pretty - a bit like a blend between a frill-necked lizard and an armadillo. It's combat animations would be interesting, if there are any. But it looks a lot better than any other animated monsters I've seen around here.

Here's a monster from Dreams an "ehhenro"

the complete animation sheet is done, and there's 2 more monsters coming for the demo. they're being done at a great pace!

I agree, the name is a bit too complex for it's own good. And while I won't be remembering random monster X from the flower fields two months after playing any game, it's at least nice to be able to remember just which small furry thing I'm bashing over the head with cold steel while I'm playing the game. Perhaps look to latin? It doesn't have to be english or a pun, but at least something so when I'm targeting the monster in your combat system I'll be able to easily remember it.

As for the animation, I wish you could get a little bit more spin action going in there. Maybe a head bob, or a leap. Just, something to make it look more alive, I guess.

Diegoale, I don't think monster names are all that important. I have played many games where the monster has some funky name that doesn't even make sense. It's your game, do what you want.

@ Twin: Wow! That map looks great so far! I like the style a lot. Oh, one thing though. The higher tree on the right side has part of its shadow cut off by the flowers.

Looking good though.

Yep, I pretty much have a solid method of creating non-water autotiles. I've been trying to make a watertile the past 2 hours but it just doesn't look right. I'm not sure how to animate them (Aka. place 3 clouded layers on top of eachother, transparant, and move them left-right -or- use the brush tool to make moving waves. And then I'd still have to choose between making the waves flow all the way (like moving) or going left-right or up-down :\). Note that the grass sways in the wind, in game.

Very nice tileset TM. One thing - the roots of the biggest tree seem to be a bit too small fo it. Also, get rid of Arshes :p
