It's not intended to be a bar, at least not in the traditional sense. It's supposed to be reminescent of the long counters you can sit at along the windows in some cafes. I need to make the windows taller, so that people can see out while eating. At any rate, this is not the actual map, I don't think. Just a test of the tileset. The final map will probably be better planned out. :P

I'm not certain what to do with lights yet. Floating lights over the tables just look weird. I'll try hanging lights next, I suppose.

I also need some potted plants, I think. Menus, and maybe a couple other dinners other than the two specials.

@TREG - Um, it's not carpet. ':|

The water is pretty but the trees you used are wrong. They look like they should be *in* the water, especially with those long roots. Right now they just look awkward.

But it's the wrong tree. Having lived in a place were you see trees much like that all the time, those trees belong in the water, or very near to the water. Not on mountains. They look real awkward.

You can easily edit a different base of a tree, but to me it looks really odd and out of place.

ETA: And speaking of out of place, the tree on the bottom lefthand corner should be falling because half of it's roots are hovering past the cliff.

@Caldaron: The equipement screen looks uber-awesome... I feel like scripting something like it by myself, but I guess I'll leave that until my next project, if there'll be one... anyway, keep up the good work and get rid of the RTP graphics ^_^ (and if you don't necessarily need the icons, get rid of them as well, as they're destroying the centered alignment)

Agreed with Lene. A basic knowledge of biology can also help you point out that the foliage does not match the root structure in its survival adaptation.

Yeah, um, FANTASY. A swamp rooted tree on land, lacking an equivelent in real life, adds to the fantasy element since you'd never see it anywhere. I say leave it. Next people will complain that the inside of your cabin lacks a chamberpot. Its fantasy, people. While we're at it, nowhere in the world do we find healthy grassland surrounded by grey rock cliffs. Grey soil is devoid of nurishment.. Guess how much that matters in a fantasy game?

Actually, I'm pretty sure they were referring to Flamerfox's screen, not megatron's. No need to get worked up over it.

Those are some pretty nice original tiles, megatron. ^^ Not sure I'm very fond of bright specks in the grasses, but I really like the cliffs, especially those arches carved into them. The only thing that really bugs me is that the house perspective seems off, if you're going for the tradition perspective that is. You shouldn't be able to see the back slant of the roof. Also, some more variance to the trees would be a good idea. Atm, they all sort of lean the same way and it looks a bit odd.
