@ Cresnt> Sorry for being a little late on this one, but...
I noticed a very small mapping error on your screen.
Look at the left hand side, directly across from the flying seagull. (the seagull is pointing at it with its beak)
You see the one piece of rock in the water. Its a round edge.
It's in the water but the bottom half does not look like it, like the other pieces. It may suppose to be like this because of the areas shallowness, but to me it just doesn't flow right.

Ah yes, I'm aware of that. Unfortunately it can't be fixed, because the piece of the tree above the rock is already used as an event.

Hmm, have you tried using an event as a forth layer.
Example: 1st layer= water
2nd layer= Rock underwater
3rd layer= Upper ledge
Event layer = Tree corner
Just make sure the event is checked off where it says, "Always on Top"
Hah, always on top....:D

I posted a screen of my town and was given some tips, while tring to change a few things I decided to redo many more things - so it took awhile for me to fix up the town. These shots are are the before and after of my starting town - called Ishtra. This is a short game I'm working on, and it may take awhile because I can only afford small amounts of time to it (+ I work slow) I really only started this project to 'warm up' after not using RPG Maker for so long. Anyway, I think it's fun to have before and after shots so here we go: :D

@Brandonn: Looking much better, but that huge building in the upper right looks really bland. Use the old version of that one, maybe add some more trees, and it's perfect.

1.That building is huge! Try spliting it into 2-3 smaller ones.

2.You used the same tree over and over. Try adding more variety. You can add other trees from other tilesets with some simple editing. (can easily be done in MSpaint. Other programs will make it even easier)

Aside from that it's quite nice really. A great improvement from the first one.

well it depends what the huge building is supposed to be. agreed its massive but who knows whats within it. if its a normal or even the mayors house etc then yes its too big. also, remove the oddly placed chimneys from the large one.

It's a school, it has a main hallway and 4 rooms, the building is very close to the actual size of the rooms and hallway together.

This is the inside:

It's a little messed up because I just pieced the 5 maps together, the lines show the diffrent maps. I could indent the building on the top bottom and right side to match the inside, I could also only have roof above the classrooms, and then make some type of flat roof for over where the halway is...

Im pretty sure you were getting at it yourself but have the shape of the roof folloe the classrooms, so you have four indivual peaks in place of the classrooms. It's a bit of a large school for such a small village though... If that's the whole town.

That was a mistake, that room should be on top - sorry, like a said, it's actually seperate maps, I just pased them together to show the entire layout.

But perhaps your right about it being too large... I just started with the idea of 4 rooms, each for a diffrent purpose. However, it could be argued that while many people don't live here, many travel here. There aren't too many places for a Monster to live safely anymore.

It's a new one. Its an outside tileset this time, part of the market district of a large city in my game. I did partially use the RTP Bridge as a base again, but I think it turned out much better this time. I wasn't completely satisfied with the Airport Lobby. I'll either fix that one up and keep it to myself, or I'll release it for public use.

One of the many mini-games in my Winter project. This is a Sledding game test map.

When you start, you are moving at a slow speed. Over time, you increase in speed naturally. If you travel down slopes, you can increase your speed even faster! But watch out for traps and pitfalls, they will slow you down.

Explanation:
Red Circle
These 'slopes' increase your speed by 1 for each tile in height they are (in the case of the circle, 2.)

Purple Circle
These are slippery tiles. You can no longer control your sled whilst overlapping it.

Blue Circle
Deep grass and other non-snow type land will reduce your sleds speed to 2, forcing you to increase in speed again.

Green Circle
Any cliff you can approach at a directly down direction can be fallen off. This is to avoid ever getting stuck. The problem with jumping this way, instead of using a slope, is that you get no speed bonus. Your speed is actually reduced by the height of the slope, instead of increased.

Note:
I haven't decided if this will be a time-trial or competition. It depends on how difficult the AI is to code, I suppose. Either way, there will be a few slopes for you to test your skills on.
