@The_Shadow: Nice as usual. The elevations works really well.

Prologue once again, now with temporary logo. It's kinda sloppy so it'll be remade some day. The style of the logo will probably be the same.

The main character meets up with her dead sister (as a ghost, obviously). The main character is the one to the right, and the ghost sister is to the left, right below the small lantern. It's a dark screenshot so I understand if you have trouble seeing everything (the corners however are completely black on purpose so no need to try to see what's there).

A classic map-scrolling scene with text fitting into what happens on screen. It looks prettier in motion, so if I get my hands on a good recording program I'll probably record my progress in the game so far with this scene included.

Sorry if they're a bit dark for some people, I'm eventually going to make a evented brightness-control system that will allow you to change the brightness in-game to suit all sorts of monitors. The third screen shouldn't be a problem to nobody, though. ^^

This is basically a section of the main character's home town, Sable. Oh, The Man, that looks good but you sould work on the space in the map and the lighting perhaps.
My mapping is a bit rusty.
 
Miles Catea: Its not a very flattering screenshot. There are no special effects or nothing. Also, the mapping isnt very good. The paths are straight and its too bare. There is nothing setting it apart. I suggest you go to the map improvement thread. :)
 
While its an improvement, it needs a lot of work. The river looks horrible the way it is. You also need more detail, and move some of the trees around. :)
 
I'm better at nature maps; when I do cities I can't tell if it looks right or not.

Shadow: What the biggest problem of you screenshot is that you are crampping the same objects together. There is way too much symetrical mapping in the map. Spread some things out and get rid of some stuff. Remember, less is sometimes more. :) I do like the mood you set and it looks almost dramtic. Is it supposed to be like the moon. :)
 
Needs work:

1. The screentone is way to grey

2. The clouds are too big and look pixelated.

3. Rainbow is extremely unnesesary

4. That grass dirt auto tile looks bad

5. Mapping needs some improvement

6. Add more scenary

I swear to God, I don't know how people could get that desert -> grass autotile so messed up. It's very simple. Put it on an existed desert flat to create an oasis feel, or a proper transition to a grasslands. Also, I laughed at the tiny-ass rainbow.

I really like the chimneys :thumb:
The barrels are not correct though, the top angle needs to be more of an oval shape, take a look at the angle of the roof and compare that.
Also, too many barrels in this screen shot, i say take out 4 of them or so.
Here's an example for the barrel, very crappy edit but i hope it helps.

Also, since where talking about a poor part of town you should add more stuff to signify filth, pieces of paper and broken bottles lying on the street and wanted posters, have some roof planks missing here and there, same deal for the wall and floor, make some cracks on the wall too.
These should make the place shine imo ^^

Battles are sound-based. You essentially "sing" at enemies, selecting a note from a bar with a moving cursor (similar to shot bars in golf games). Harmonizing notes between actors increases attack power or activates a combo attack.
