Here's mine, an action-platformer in it's early early stages. I'll admit there's not too much to comment on.  I'm trying to get the hardest parts over with first (eventing/scripting) before I move on to the stuff I like, i.e. graphics.

The gal on the right is the main character, but you work very closely with your flyin' buddy (green ball) and can take control of him for a few seconds, which is what's going on in the screen. The butt-ugly platforms are placeholders, as is the panorama and the green ball thingy. Also the tree people aren't supposed to be cut off like that.

 So much shit to do...

Doesn't look or handle too sophisticated in action, unfortunately... the pixelmovement works well, put the jumping is still tile-based.

Haha, she started out as an arrogant, diva-esque opera singer with songs that'd have different effects and shit. That's her old singing animation as a matter of fact. Then I decided I'd rather go with co-op style gameplay. I probably will change her sprite to make her look more... humble.

@Substancialiciou: The game looks really nice, and you shoudnt change the character, there are enough humble protagonists out there. Something different will be refreshing.
And even if she is cocky and arrogant, she looks like a lovable character

Its nice to see the sprite express characteristics of the character, I havent seen that on original works here. Though there arent many spriters here working on their own style, and they have only shown the four side walking  :P

^

Idk, it's just a matter of taste I guess. I'd really hate to play her for some reason. o.O But it's most likely because of some random youth trauma, so I wouldn't worry about it. =p

Keinaru, could you show me where you found those tilesets?

If you made them yourself, nice work, they're pretty awesome.

The classroom seems kinda boring. I don't know if it's just me, but all of my teachers like to decorate their room with a ton of posters, plants, etc.

006, that's coming along really nicely. You should still add dirt to any areas where the cliffs meet the grass though. You've done it
at the cliff bases but I think it would look nicer if it were consistent in all areas. You should also make the lower rocks darker, right now some areas look like they're 90 degrees vertical.

Leventhan, that looks great man. I just wish you hadn't saved it as a jpeg.

Substancialicious, I like the style, reminds me of sharksweetheart's work. I think you should add some texture to the purple ground though. Also the trees are far too straight-edged at the bottom.

Ynlraey, I'm assuming the background is ripped from this Super Robot Wars, yes? Are the faceset/sprite original, or also rips? I've never played, so I wouldn't know. Anyway, I'd steer clear of straight-up, in-your-face references such as those. Much more subtle references like quoting lines and such would be a lot better, imo. When they're as blatant as that, it makes players who haven't played the referenced game feel left out of the loop, and doesn't give those who have played the ref material the smile that recognizing where a certain line or item came from does.

What no it's all custom, I'm just saying the setup is similar to Super Robot Wars so I just put it in just for a joke O_o

Ok let me clear that up you see in super robot wars, the setup is a robot is in there says something then attack in a dramatic way. Then I noticed that the sprite size, faceset, and setup of my backgrounds were the same so I just said "why do I feel like I'm in Super Robot Wars" as a joke O__________o

and no, when we made this, we made it 100% scratch the only reference we had are, this guy must have a coat with a name ocean and spear, I don't care what hair he has. Be creative!

It was total coincidence.
on that note, a hanger that size couldn't ever be a SRW background, because some of those machines are HUGE, lol

Oh and that background was custom made from a japguy that I will not say since it's obscure and I can't read japanese that we have to speak engrish at each other :U

I wasn't accusing you of anything, it's just that I haven't seen anything from said game, so I thought that the line was a reference to that. My point about the "joke" still stands, though.

I know you weren't accusing but everything I do seems like a rip I have to clear that up T_T;
I didn't know I have to reference SRW I'll do that next time I put in

everything you do is such pro quality XD definetly a good thing.

but dam, that looks awesome, It would really like SRW if the faceset was a box, lol

*indeed ish a FE & SRW nut*

and I know I've posted this a bunch of times already... but it's just further testing of the sprite style...

I know the guy looks bad >_> I'm going to redesign the male citizen's outfit since that was just a quicky

I don't really map, so no, I don't have any other maps to put up >_>
