Just messin around with the breeze tilesets..
The water's a different color in the editor compared to 'while playing'..
The bright blue from the editor was looking better in my opinion.

Still messin' around for the contest..
I don't know if I'll get in finished in time, but I'll try and do something.
I don't have a decent approach though.. I think the story up on the spot.
It'll probably turn out.. fine?

Now, the thing that's probably the flashy-est about this image is the text.. =3
I posted it anyway, 'cause I've been working on getting those walls to work..
And that took me ages.
The trees are done by Naramura.

The image is obviously not from in-editor or testplay..
 
I do think the tiles look great, only in this screenshot the trees don't match the walls..
That'll look better, eventually. [I hope]
When the screen's as stuffed as the breeze screen, and everything blends together.. :-]
 
I'm still working on the story of my game, but i m starting with the first maps now. Here are my first screens

I also tried to be a little more original with the rtp, so instead of the daily dungeons and towns i'm playing around with
a metro system:

and a weird town with waterfalls, roads made of waterlike stones and floating islands. On top of that, some weird robot/aliens are walking around :s:

the mix of the diffrent tilsets make it feel refreshing :P
I like it ^^
I see some minor map errors tho but I think you already know about them ^^

Yep, that's true. i'm reworking the tileset now, it starts to look quiet good now :)
But i have a problem. it's probaply noob, but anyway: normally, when you import a certain resource, it will ask you to choose a transparant and semi transparant color. But only when i try to import a tileset it won't ask to choose a transparant and semi transparant color. Result is, the shaodws aren't transparant, how can i fix that?
 
You are saving it as a PNG that already has Alpha transparency settings.

You need to set it as Index Color or make the Alpha transparencies in the tileset itself.

Awesome Bro

The top is like wonderland and the bottom is real. The combination is a little crappy when they're so close together. It's the grass that ruins it. Nice map though.
 
Nice editing and good mapping. Only, the coast are all rtp tiles, they clash a bit with the rest of the map.
Also, i'm happy that you like my maps. I'm editing the tilesets and autotiles now, i really want it to look perfect now and imo it's start to look perfect  now :D
