Yet again I find myself mapping out the same old bits of Invisus. You find yourself at the top of a hillock. How did you get there? There are various household objects strewn around here - it looks like they landed there... from the sky?

Theres nothing much to speak of here. Its a little uninspiring as the first thing the player sees, though. Is there any way I could spice it up, do you think? Its rather plain...

I appreciate the last bit of map isnt finished, but does the rest look alright?

@Lisker-Can you tell me where I can get the wood house edit? And, would be willing to share the tileset? Or is it private? I really like the dark grass and dark path autotile used in the woods areas!

@Black Shadow: I like it, but there are a few errors...on the boulders/rocks on the bottom right, you have mis-used some of the corner piece tiles, and there is a tree branch underneath the bridge.

And at the bottom right hand corner, there is a sand autotile mess-up.

@ Wearesuperhero - The light coming through the windows needs to be brighter.  If it's daylight, a brighter white and if it's night a blue hue mixed in with the white can work well.

@The Man
  I love horror games. Please, do finish this. As for your screenshot, maybe the picture stand out too much? Also, are those white pixels under the table on the right the shadow? It doesn't seems right :S

@Arcanum
  It's too bad you only use 4 frames for walking animation :(  Other than that, I think the graphics are really neat XD.

Something I've been working on for the contest. The black rectangular box on the right above the "normal" thingy is supposed to be your character face, which is still a rough sketch @_@. Gosh, I hope I could finish this in time.

Indeed, a hell of a lot too. (Maybe the massive influx of new meat has sort of faded away now?)

@The Man: The back wall is a full tile taller than the other wall. Other than that, pretty cool.
@Hima: That game looks great, like a jazzed up version of that old Atari game... Bosconian was it? Anyway, I love that kinda game.

@The Man
I agree with hima, about the picture. It sticks out like a sore thumb. Maybe you could try making a picture using sprites? It'd blend in a lot better. Looks good otherwise.

@hima
O_O That's for the contest? Wow, I'm glad I opted not to enter. It sure looks like you have tremendous chance of winning.  ;)

Is it just me or has the quality of projects shot up lately?

I atribute that to your terrific leadership skills, TREG. *Bat eyelashes*

;_; Now I feel cheap.

Yup everyone. The picture really stands out. But it's supposed to. lol.
I'm really suprised someone noticed the wall height's. Again, on purpose. The game is meant to throw reality, well, into the garbage. That goes for perspective as well.
As for the shadow under the table? Ya. That's a screw up. I forgot to set it's transparency.
Thanks for the comments so far everyone.

Oh ya. @ Hima. The game is almost done. It's only a short mini-game. A few more hours work and touch ups. Then testing and it'll be complete. Yaay!

Whoah, that's way more reception than I've gotten on anything else I've posted, and it's just a tent. :)

@Reives: Thanks, I was definitely going for something atypical of RMXP projects, and I think I've gotten to the level of spriting that I can pull it off. Haha, and the guitar is actually going to be played in a later scene. I'll actually be recording myself play for that part, which should be fun. I actually was inspired to do that because of the one scene in Quintessence where Lunair plays "To Realize" on the piano. :)

@Showkaizer: For one, you're back? Seems like you've been AWOL for a while... and for two, thanks a lot. That means a ton coming from you.

@Hima: Yeah... it would be a pain to sprite that much though, since the project I'm working on is already taking forever due to all the graphic work, not to mention the fact that I'm composing all the music too. The fact that I actually have something that's nearing becoming playable is a milestone on my part, and to add 8 frame movement, or even 6 frame would be an even bigger pain. Thanks though.

And that screen of yours is awesome. I can't put my finger on what it reminds me of, but it reminds me of something, and it's really cool.

@TREG: Thanks. :) And I'll definitely drop you a PM, though to be honest I'm more confident in my composing ability than my spriting ability.

Oh yeah, and someday soon you'll probably see a thread pop up for my project. I want to have at least a short demo ready first though, so it may be a little while yet.

Ya. I was trying to make the graphics a little more real than cartoon. Softened up the sprite and everything. Not quite the effect I wanted, but making a realistic sprite and such is a lot more work then I thought. Oh well, practice I guess.

I'm posting my world map here, just so everyonce can see the big overworld.
This is an edited version to look like a real, old map. The coastlines have been added in as well.

The Red lines are transport links. Ie, Train and Boat. The blue line is the "Pantap Highway". A long road that links the major settlements of Grand Haven (the kingdom) together.

Here is also a full version. It's made by just snapping each of the maps together, unlike above.
WARNING: HUGE!
http://i51.photobucket.com/albums/f359/brunotherhino/WorldMap-1.png

Edit: Dammit. Photobucket resized my image!
These are two (and a bit) Provinces of the Kingdom of Grand Haven. The lower Continent is called Satenzo, and the upper bit is called Fateno.

The starting village is on the bottom-right, on the peninsula there. It's called Saturi Headland. Then there's some story, and you find yourself in the village just North of there, Conlase Village, a village where the community has been ripped apart by the building of a garrison in the middle of town. You have to get to the fishing port, called Ocklavania, on the top-right. But the boat is broken, so you have to walk there the long way; going west, over the bridge, then north-east.

The other settlements you can see are "Satenzo Coast" that community on the southern coast. It's actually a holiday resort, so nobody 'lives' there per say. Fuergo village is on the top-right. You can't get there due to a broken bridge. It's a village that lives in the shadow of a Volcano. Ashdown Farm is in-between Fuergo Village and Ocklavania. It's just a big farm run by the Lateani Family.

The map is only going to get bigger from here on in. This is only a fraction of what is to come. As I said earlier, Grand Haven is split up into small counties. These are only two out of the planned five, not to mention the two kingdoms to the south.

The first chapter is nearly done, so expect to see a demo coming soon!

I'm impressed. I especially love the lighthouse.
