And also, while I'm here, could someone tell me what you think of this face image style?

I found them off a site and did some filters on it and I kinda like it, but maybe thats just me. If you can please comment on this too it'd be much appreciated! :)

Okay, I edited it and added a new room to it. I took advice and moved the kitchen, and made a bedroom for the drunken mother. (Instead of the kitchen floor) added carpets and seperate rooms.

How does it look now?

MeTM: that's because he took the screenshot in the map-editor. In-game, the white will become black. It's a nice effect.

I'm not sure whether the shadows work, though. They look a bit too squared and they don't seem to make any sense when comparing them to the rest of the tileset. My advice is not to play with lighting effects, unless you really know what you're doing. Else, things will just look unneccesarily fake.

The shadows are totally off. My take on shadows in RMXP, unless you are using cosmetic fog, don't even bother. They are more hassle than they are worth. Maps look perfectly fine without them, and with them it becomes a disaster.

the shadows are the darkened floor tiles, there's no shadow script.
this picture is of course better than the last one, but the right lower part is too empty, put the table there and place a arm chair near the oven...
the face is perfect for a comic style, looks familar to the rm2k alex
but here u can comment my armory shot:

looks weird, huh?
@prexus:
damn, too late..

It looks too cluttered, you don't have to fill space for the sake of it. And I think people are suggesting the use of the shadow on the floor is poor, don't bother with it, or make a cosmetic fog instead (thres a tutorial in the tut section for this.)

My un-finished CBS.

Who wants to do something?

Looks like Shiro does.
He will have another ability when I've finished scripting it until then he can only attack and use items.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/F ... em-002.jpg[/IMG]
After waiting for the nice red stamina bar to fill up past half way he can now attack.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/F ... em-003.jpg[/IMG]
Note to self: don't forget un-armed damage.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y139/F ... em-004.jpg[/IMG]
That was very exhausting his stamina bar is nearly empty.
Attacking takes half Shiro's max stamina.

Its pretty nice, howbere the samina bar clashes with the whole look of the windows, maybe making ita white outline instead of a black one? since the font and the real outline of the winow is white

@calibre: lol, i had it with no shadows before, but i thought i had to, because everyone did...
sry for the late reply, but i thought u meant lorddonk...(just type @ name:, that's really helpful)
here's another shot:http://www.rmxp.org/forums/showpost.php?p=100707&postcount=102http://www.rmxp.org/forums/showpost.php?p=100707&postcount=102

2. @calibre: ok, but at first a have to learn mapping (the tut is amazing!). everytime i make a map i think yahoo, well done, but when i see the tut, it seems to be all like carbage... (that's why i like the scripting ;))
...*mapping*...

Heres a screenshot from a project I am currently working on. :)

Do you guys think the traced art in flash (the battler in the 1st spot) conflicts horribly with Naramura's art?
