Hey! Despain did finish something. It was Sandfall:Gamble game, Sandfall although is a demo...but it's better than have not finish at all!

It's looking all right so far, Despain.  Everything except for the stairs on the right.  I can't stand seeing people make stairs like that...and it happens everywhere.  How come the stairs don't come out from the cliff wall at all on the bottom?  It makes no sense, and is, quite frankly, impossible.  There's no way for stairs that go that far down on a relatively flat wall to still be at the base at the bottom.  Fix it please.

I think the greyscale one might look better if it was more sepia (that sort of browny-yellow colour), pure grey doesn't really work well as far as contrast and so on.
 
Yeah you have to keep that tileset simple anyways because of all that texture and pattern to it. And Lisker the font IS readiable it's just if you have to read it for long periods of time it could get annoying. I think the main issues is with the capitols. Try switching it out for something a bit more simpliar especially if you have a long game.

Looking good, nice to see you're still working on that.

Interesting use of the RTP. I'd change the font & windowskin though, it's not well suited for games. :)

@Lisker:
I'm another of those people who aren't for the font, but it might look clearer if you increase the text window's back_opacity.

Yeah I did that yesterday, I made the bg darker aswell. It should be a lot clearer. I'll upload new pics when I get home.
 
This is a very preliminary peek or what will soon be a wasteland/barren mountain tileset... The only reason I'm posting this is to get a critique on the cliffs (aside from the tiles meant to represent the top side of the cliff, those aren't finished). I think these are the best cliffs I've done yet, visually, but they're kinda a bitch when it comes to getting passability to work properly. I plan to add vegetation and the works soon, but for now I want to know whether what I've got with the cliffs is good. I've had trouble with them in the past, and I'm sure there are still kinks to be worked out. Anyway:
