Well since it's been a while since I last posted anything about my projects (after a Moderator made all my messages from another account invisible -.-)
Thought I might post a couple of preview photos from my other game (not the mecha one)... Enjoy.

Yeah I dunno how those fat guys balance on top of the beams either. Oh well, the more surreal, the better.

Yeah I agree with Calibre, that panorama is to life like for a game like this, it just stands out to much maybe find/make a more graphic one?

Still uncertain, games such as Metal Gear Solid have scenes / footage of real locations and people, that's the way I'm feeling about the panorama right now. Secondly there are some scenes in my game that show photos of real world events and people so... I'm still uncertain.

I think your missing what Camisado and I mean Yum. It's not the fact that its a real image, but the way it clashes with the sprited graphics in the foreground. Metal Gear Solid is not a sprited game, its a fully 3D game and I can't remember them ever showing real movies during the actual gameplay sections anyway. It's fine to show photos of real people because they are photos, panoramas make up part of the actual locations graphics and it doesnt mix well with the pixelled foreground graphics.

Exactly, There is no problem with showing actual pictures or videos but mixing the two styles togther just looks a bit awkward. It would be best to save your pictures for moments when you want just pictures, and use custom panoramas for times like that.

@Adrenaline Rush:
Looking great, must've taken you a while to paste together too. Only thing is the hanging-cliff ish thing near the left upper corner over the falls feels a bit weird, sticking out like that.

@Adrenaline Rush: Well done. Although there's a small mapping error: At the bottom, part of a tree is cut off by another tree. It's the large one.

@Adrenaline Rush:
*sigh* I wish I had your talent for mapping. *wonders if she could hire AR to do her mapping for her*

Edit: The grey cliff that goes into the lake would be nicer if you could have the water lapping along the edge.

Reives: All the better to see you with my dear! Ohohoho!

AR: Also two of the rocks on the right side of the bridge used as a path are really suppose to be used on the cliff edge. It looks a bit strange for them to be in the path since they don't match the flat rocks.
