Thanks for clearing that up. I wasn't sure what that word was. I was hoping it wasn't just a strange typo.:D

Thanks, and you certainly will probably see me post a few more screens of this as I work on it. I'll try not to disappoint. :)

Thank you, that means alot coming from you. But what do you think I could do with the sand? Anyway, well, they're only a pain if you don't enjoy doing them. The effort as well as the result is what makes doing original graphics so fun for me.

Hmm, choices choices, two people who I admire in their graphic work telling me opposite things... haha, thanks though.

Anyway, no one's said anything about the character sprite... do people like the pallete better on the one in the screenshot as opposed to this one?

That would be true, however I am using a fixed palette for the entire game. So, I can't add or remove any colours without having to change all the graphics I've made.
 
Arcanum: The tile set looks great and i like the grass a lot, maybe the sand needs more contrast to it? Seems too simple looking to me, but what the hell do i know haha.

Edit: Actually not simple, but maybe just needs a taaad more contrast.
 
More contrast in the sand would be bad - at least if it winds up making the tiles more noticeable. As is you notice them but they're not intrusive, and that be a neat trick with terrain tiles.
 
One problem.

Given that all this is a castle and there is so much lovely foliage, why are there other trees that are going bare? If it's autumn, surely all the trees would be losing their leaves?

Malik should recolor the lighter trees (the wood part of them) and make them look more like the other trees. White bark looks odd with brown barks on trees. *Do I make sense?*
 
I like that title screen.

Speaking of title screens, I believe I posted this before, but it was on the backup board and therefore lost. If I'm wrong and it was posted here, then I apologize.
