I think it looks more rural with all the dirt roads and grass and the far-set buildings than a capital like you intended, however I do think it looks splendid.

Awesome Bro

Gustave, What's the waiting list on living there? I'm ecstatic!

It does look more like a village than a captial. Capitals usually have a cathedral at least! Well, most do o.o

That's pretty cool, Jirby. Where's the tileset from?

RPG Advocate's website http://www.phylomortis.com (I think that's how it's spelt.)
EDIT: Note I converted the tileset to RMXP format.

Updated some of the tileset, made walls seem to stick up by making only the bottom tile impassible (which is usually unnoticable but makes horizontal doors alot cooler), and tested the planned "power off" version. (Cut the power to force emergency systems on, allowing access to off limits areas... well that's what I have planned.)

Yikes, that third one looks really dark. Actually, they're all kinda dark, but that last one is the worst and looks like a pain to navigate because of it.

Clest: They're lights. :P The square lightbeam on the previous page is from a window.

ccoa: It could be your computer screen, mine home computer is dark, but not much darker than normal. (10,10,20,10 screen tone I think.) At school the screenshot are quite alot darker.

The last screenshot is the "power off" version, the lights are off, but emercency systems force open all doors meaning you can get to certain areas which require high security access. Some security key cards are collected during the dungeon however, the last only avaliable near the end of it.

Hey all! Just want some feedback... So there's this meter in my game called Boost. It's shared by everyone for executing certain skills. The meter fills from 0-10 and when it reaches 10, it resets and adds a counter to the green number. I just wanted to know what you all thought about the two variations and all the possible places. Any feedback would be great!

I prefer the white letters and the bottom picture's placement. Then again, I might also just not like the item option =/

I have to say, I like the placement of the boost meter on the fourth and last picture. I think it fits well there. Nice lookin battle system you got there.

@JDSlasha and Clest; thanks ^^

Oh, now that really sounds nice (the transparent tile concept). Can't wait to see the version with the background in place. :)
@Akaire; I tried to do a screenshot but I don't think you can really see it much underneath the skylight fog -_-;

@kiearaphoenix: Excelent Images! That project only gets better and better... the only problem I can see are the characters sprites, Taelia looks awsome and very original, perfectly fitting the artwork style, but using the common rtp for other characters takes you down a little I hope they are only temporary
@Avadan; Thankies. B...but if I don't use standard RTP I'd have to redo some 40+ sprties T_T. Well in this screenshot is the lancer slightly re-done (a few pixels higher and a different body) Is that moving in the right direction?

On a slightly side note. I've been fiddling around with the RTP tilesets and re coloring and re-editing to see if I can do a tileset faster that way. (Making them from scratch is fun, but time consuming and losses it's fun fast, for me anyway)

C&C is appreciated!

Seasida Village-some recoloring and slight editing of beach RTP and Port Village

Outside Casquadia Palace-MAJOR editing, of several tilesets.

(Circles on top of palace are the skylights you see in the fog for Casquadia Hall picture above)

Kiera, I love those tree/buildings on that last screen..and the way the light shows through in the room with the sunroofs.

The only thing that caught my eye negatively is the slanted angle roof on the lower buildings..where it is under the top building..it's creating an "oddness" there...if I am making sense?

@ kitan; arigato^^ I'm glad you enjoy them

@Shifter, I think I understand what you mean, it may be because of the fact you can only see part of the palace. Does it still look that way in the map below?

Thus, more screens were shown. The villagers were overjoyed with joyness.
Then they all went to the pud The Pig and Whistle and got drunk and stone. Even the little children joined in on the fun that is getting stoned.

Yep that little kid in the pud screen is stoned. :D
Text may have been edited to improve readability in 1/2 size screenshots.

I'm experimenting with some Shadow/Light stuff atm... what do you think?

It looks like the city is burning down outside their home. And is somehow STILL a little too orange. But the way the lighting is placed looks pretty good.
