I like it, but I think the earth in the middle could have some more stuff, like some stones or herbs or some sort of relief, It looks a little plain right now.
the rest of the screenshot is great as always.

@Diegoale

Love the style. How is the tileset done by the way? Is it a whole painting-ish image for the entire town map, or is it actual tileset pieces?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here's one from a scene I just finished that plays during credit scrolling. The main theme plays while they 'play it live', and stuff:

Sadly RTP, but I tried to fancy it up as much as possible. :x

Edit: On a side note, I need a little help with someone else other than myself testing the scene for animation matching; so if anyone would be interested please send me a PM. I'd be flattered. :)

@Diegoale2000: Mmmm... A question as well as drooling. Do you lay a lighting picture over top of everything? Like an interlaced .PNG?

@Reives: It looks charming. I'm sending a PM. ;)

Gorgeous NPCs, Dieg. Obviously if the ground needs filling in with a little difference that can be done down the line - better to get the outline of things worked out first. It'd be great if at the end of all of it you and/or the artists wrote something out about how such characters were designed so folk here can learn and improve.

@Craybest: yeah, it's a little empty, i might add some grass and rocks a bit later on. thank for the comment.

@Reives: the maps are painted as if they were individual images, they're not made like tilesets.

@Atnas: Yes, maps are layered, some of the layers are animated (rotating windmills, etc)

@Scriblette: Thats an awesome idea! I'll make sure to do so once we're done!

OMG Great drawings Ixis, I laughed a lot. And I'm happy to know your project is not dead.
Last screen of this project for a while it's just to show that I finnally have sprited "the hero"!!!111

I's the first sprite I draw from 0 in XP and although it's a lot more difficult, I really like the result, it was just how I pictured it.
I've tried my best to give it lot of atmosphere to the game, for example in that screen, you can see the moonlight in the floor, through the windows, you can hear some wind blowing from outside, and there are animated semitransparent curtains moving with the wind.

Amazing stuff Ixis. Remains that yours and eathereal dreams are the coolest stuff on here.

I'm liking the stuff craybest btw, I respect the complete non rtpness of it all ^___^

(Holy crap, doesn't anyone use spoilers any more? While they are good Ixis, even my high spec PC took ages to load this page...)

This is my first atempt at mapping ruins in a long while... So I'm not sure how they've turned out. I made a lot of the tileset myself... well, not "made" but "editted"? (I.e. the rusty cannon, the overgrown floors, etc).

Note: The southern area, which looks like somebody is inhabiting, is not actually part of the area, it is a seperate port town.

I present to you, the ruined city of Mundane.

For those sad people who really want to know, this is the area to the North of the port town of Vale which I posted earlier:

(Yes I know, before I said it was called "Valen". I haven't thought of a final name yet.

@ craybest - I'm really liking what your doing, seems like the whole spooky atmosphere thing is really taking off with rmxp these days! Good dedication with the curtains and lighting, it's worth it in the end!

Very nice! The map is detailed enough and the screen tone gives it a certain atmosphere. The clean font looks good too.

I did some tileset editting and came up with a ruined 2nd floor for the map I just posted.

@ Black Shadow: Nice screen. The only thing I noticed is that the message box title doesn't support other characters does it? The accented 'e' on the end extends outside the box :/
