I like it, but I think the earth in the middle could have some more stuff, like some stones or herbs or some sort of relief, It looks a little plain right now.
the rest of the screenshot is great as always.
Sadly RTP, but I tried to fancy it up as much as possible. :x
Edit: On a side note, I need a little help with someone else other than myself testing the scene for animation matching; so if anyone would be interested please send me a PM. I'd be flattered.
Gorgeous NPCs, Dieg. Obviously if the ground needs filling in with a little difference that can be done down the line - better to get the outline of things worked out first. It'd be great if at the end of all of it you and/or the artists wrote something out about how such characters were designed so folk here can learn and improve.
OMG Great drawings Ixis, I laughed a lot. And I'm happy to know your project is not dead.
Last screen of this project for a while it's just to show that I finnally have sprited "the hero"!!!111 http://img174.imageshack.us/img174/6708/screen3ak0.jpg[/img]
I's the first sprite I draw from 0 in XP and although it's a lot more difficult, I really like the result, it was just how I pictured it.
I've tried my best to give it lot of atmosphere to the game, for example in that screen, you can see the moonlight in the floor, through the windows, you can hear some wind blowing from outside, and there are animated semitransparent curtains moving with the wind.
A WIP dungeon. With the RTP, my vision for this dungeon is limited and it isn't exactly what I have envisioned, but it has the main idea. This is the beginning of a few of these sections, where the player must push a cart, I will include obstacles and other such things early on, but I thought I'd release this one to conjure up som C&C!
(Holy crap, doesn't anyone use spoilers any more? While they are good Ixis, even my high spec PC took ages to load this page...)
This is my first atempt at mapping ruins in a long while... So I'm not sure how they've turned out. I made a lot of the tileset myself... well, not "made" but "editted"? (I.e. the rusty cannon, the overgrown floors, etc).
Note: The southern area, which looks like somebody is inhabiting, is not actually part of the area, it is a seperate port town.
@ craybest - I'm really liking what your doing, seems like the whole spooky atmosphere thing is really taking off with rmxp these days! Good dedication with the curtains and lighting, it's worth it in the end!
@ Black Shadow: Nice screen. The only thing I noticed is that the message box title doesn't support other characters does it? The accented 'e' on the end extends outside the box :/
