haha I figured something like that was the case. I just wnated to see if I could break the boundaries. I did a little extra battling to get that amount fo cash, so I don't think it would be an occurance if the player went through the game without the intention of meeting outragous prices. But, wiht the healing springs and the Eagle's Talons skill, the money did not take a lot of extra effort to reach (maybe 20 m inutes or half an hour). I don't need a save fix; I sed a abckup file when I bought the schooner. I hope that helped give you an idea though of what's managable so far in the demo.
In general, I like your powerufl enemies-blocking-path technique, but it's probably a good idea to come up with some reaosn why you can't make an expensive purchase (which it sound sliek you had originalyl intended), but the a seemingly impossible gold amount probably isn't the most effective barrier (unless it's like 100,000). I'm probably just babbling uneccessarily, but I hope that feedback was helpful.
EDIT: I just finished the demo and am eagerly awaiting the next chapter. Sadly, I found a few glitches:
1. The Fer-De_Lance skill thatWilliam acquires around level 25 says that it deals a powerful attack against oen enemy. When i used it in the demo, it attacked all enemies.
2. I'm not sure if this counts as a glitch, but I thought you might want to know: it is VERY easy to defeat the snake (name escapes me) in the Thornbury Wilds during the return journey to Willow Glen. Perhaps you meant for her to be ebatable at this point in the game, but just didnt add anythign fi you achieved. Just incase she's supposed to extremely powerful still, (which I gathered formt he fact my weapons won't actually deal any damage...) all I did was use my most powerful single attack skills. In the first round, she was poisoned and stunned. Thjen, she died after a few rounds of, well, nothing. This was also my first attempt since the first time she owned me in chapter 2. I would suggest either making her resistant to status effects, or, perhaps making a duplicate of her. This duplicate can be used in the early game when she's still powerful; just make her immune to any status effects and give her 9999 HP so no one can get by on luck. Then, have a normal status effect- prone enemy later in the game when she is defeatable.
Laslty, the parts arent't gltices just thughts.

I really like the garrison take over of Willow Glen, but a couple thigns didn't make sense to me. I know Hal Miller is an old man, but Belarus seems to be abut his age. If the soldiers arrested all of the men, and Bearus was allowed to stay only on the premise that he could heal the soldiers, whhy is Hal Miller still in town? I think it would make more sense if he was gone since Belarus had to cut a deal to be able to stay (unless the soldiers get some of the millers' teas or sometthing). Secondly, I'm just curios, how does Arthur justify leaving town. This might be being nitpicky, but won't the soldiers notice if some arrogant kid who's always threatening them is missing? So , wouldn't that arouse as many suspicions as if Arthur just disappeared? Maybe I'm jsut jumping the gun and you have a magnificent explanaiton alreayd planne dout in the next section
Other than those two details I thought the scene was intriguing and effective. I think you were definately able to pull off a govenrment take-over. Also, the dream scene was quite effective, too, msotly because I really did hate those orbs after spending so much time searchign for random ones.
