Ya I know, I didn't know that I couldn't make another topic focused mainly on one part.

Apparently some stores are already getting Brawl in stock! Specifically, I know Sears was selling games this morning and even shipped some pre-orders. Nintendo got on to them though, and when I called ones near me they said they couldn't sell any more.

Competively, from what I've heard it focuses more on mindplay than tech play unlike melee, which is good for me 'cause I dont want to kill my thumbs again ;/

Yeah, they took out wavedashing, L-canceling and some other "advanced techs." Can't say I'm disappointed  :smile:

thats so cool. i cant wait for the first person to crop up and bitch about the removal of those stupid 'techniques' because i haven't been able to call someone a 'fag' and mean it with all of my heart in quite a while.

The Sheik differences were done to match the same updates they made on Link, Zelda and Ganondorf. They changed Sheik's design to reflect how they believed that Sheik would have looked if she was in Twilight Princess.

The entire roster is 35, this has been confirmed. Sakurai has also told in an interview that downloadable characters are very unlikely to appaer.

I thought Roy and Mewtwo were going to be downloadable in Japan? And I thought those two would be in the English Versions? Unless those have already been said or I missed something somewhere.

Sakurai himself has said that downloadable content isn't likely. However, it's possible. Hackers have found the code for some additional characters in the game:

• Dixie Kong (likely a Diddy clone)
• Toon Zelda/Tetra (likely a Zelda/Shiek clone)
• Plusle & Minun (likely an Ice Climbers clone)
• Mewtwo (likely based on his Melee form, or a Lucario clone)
• Roy (likely based on his Melee form, a Marth clone)
• Dr. Mario (likely based on his Melee form, a Mario clone)

There is a possibility that a Brawl patch could be downloaded that simply makes these characters available. As it is, there is no way to access or use them in the game.

That said, I personally doubt it will happen.

I read somewhere, I can't remember where, but I read there will be a Brawl WiiWare Channel and a Mario Kart WiiWare Channel for online play and spectating, the article only said 'Online Play and Spectating', nothing about downloading characters, but this would be an excellent surprise for the world to see.
