Basically, don't count on all the characters you use in a normal game to be on your side in the single player missions.

Well, I decided to bring this topic back since there was some good discussion going on. And, I love how the last post was on Februrary 10th, the day it was supposed to come out. I guess people are too sad to look at this thread, but US gets the game in less than 2 weeks, so yay!!
But, anyway, Master Hand looks vile as ever. But, I'm a bit upset at the lack of new moves. =( And Sakurai spoiled me with that very last sentence! *I won't post it because I don't want to spoil you guys, but just check out the Dojo if you want*
Well, I decided to bring this topic back since there was some good discussion going on. And, I love how the last post was on Februrary 10th, the day it was supposed to come out. I guess people are too sad to look at this thread, but US gets the game in less than 2 weeks, so yay!!

Nope, the US won't get anything new in the game, he's confirmed this in at least one interview. There was a massive rumor about downloadable content, which eas leaked from a course that has been right about lots of Nintendo leaks in the past, so lots of people thought it was true. Unfortunately, Sakurai put that to rest.
The English version of the game has been finished for a couple of weeks, the added time before the US release date was in order to produce enough physical copies of the game, as well as for protmoional things (like the Official Nintendo tournaments and the gamestop tournaments).
As for the game, I know that lots of members here are interested in playing online against each other, and I'm working on setting up a way that members here can have ranked matches, etc. I've been talking about it a lot in irc, but if you're not an irc person, let me know here if you're interested.
When the game comes out, I am going to be closing this topic and creating a new Brawl topic (and by I, I mean another moderator most likely, since I probably won't be around for a few days), since this one is pretty old with all the Dojo hype, etc, the new one will be about play experience, etc. I think that makes sense.
To generate discussion: What characters are you guys looking forward to playing? Are you happy with the final roster? Who is following this game competitively? etc

I'll try participating But ye, times, stuff.
I'm looking forward to 3d and PT mostly, but I'll try out all of them. I used to dislike CFalcon too and it is/was my second best one-on-one in melee. The roster could've had some more characters, Midna, Isaac, a Space Pirate (maybe that guy from hunters), for examples, but hey, the roster does the job and we did get some neat additions. Though I disagree very badly with Sonic being in seeing the merely decent games he delivered, while Mario/Zelda/Metroid/Pokémon/etc. had some great games more recently than the SNES-era.
Competively, from what I've heard it focuses more on mindplay than tech play unlike melee, which is good for me 'cause I dont want to kill my thumbs again ;/

Sonic was included because of his Genesis rivalry with Mario, in which Sonic was in some amazing games. If you pretty much ignore everything that sonic has done in 3D (other than Sonic 3D blast for the genesis which was pretty much 2D anyway), you have some great games, and it's classic Sonic that I imagine.
He's also supposedly really great in Brawl. I personally love the up-B trick where you hit them with the spring as they try to recover.

I noticed some differences in sheik in Brawl than in Melee and OoT.
Sheik has long hair.
