Show Recommendation Thread

I just saw the pilot for Boardwalk Empire last night. I think this is going to be a pretty great show. It's kind of slow to start but it reminds me a lot of Deadwood.

It's got a ton of the Band of Brothers cast which I thought was kind of amusing. Coincidentally (and probably anecdotally) a lot of them are war vets, too. (though a diff war)

oh nooo I knew it would happen it's just that type of show but still nooo

I'm glad it was good, I'm gonna have to wait to see it since I don't have HBO. hopefully they don't blow their budget on all the elaborate background stuff though, isn't that what happened to Rome? (I never watched it so idk)

idk ... i watched all of Rome and never ever came away from it going "lol well looks like someone's on a budget!"
