Anyway. Since this thread's completely off topic anyway, here's why I like RuneScape.
> Hundreds of quests
> Unique, in depth storylines (such as the God stories)
> Challenging! (I.e. getting stuck on quests such as Desert Treasure)
> Different types of areas (Viking lands, icey mountains, troll homelands, firey dungeons, whatever)
> The soundtrack (there's what... 400 different songs so far?)
> It runs on almost any computer, whether PC, Mac, Linux
> Don't have to download it
> Doesn't slow down my PC at all, even on high detail
> 10 million active players (i.e. have logged in during the past month) unlike WoW, which has 10 million players -in total- counting inactive players
> There's constantly like 100,000 people online
> Jagex are friendly, helpful, etc
> Jagex actually have a sense of humour, and a good taste in comedy (i.e. all the Monty Python references)
> It's British, which is instant win
> Never got any viruses from them -ever-
> They don't charge very much for membership:
- - > RuneScape: £38.40 a year
- - > Guildwars: £30 for the game, £30 per campaign, £20 for Eye of the North (i.e. £110 so far and counting)
- - > World of Warcraft: £108 a year (if you buy the 60 day timecards ~ £18.00 each) PLUS £10 for the game PLUS £20 for the expansion PLUS however many expansions are coming out after that
> Friendly interface
> Friends play it, easy to chat with them without having to download some cruddy program
> The Grand Exchange absolutely pwns
> They actually deal with macroers and real-world-trading!
> They have a really extensive user guide (the Knowledge Base)
> Their forums are programmed by themselves (as is their whole website)
> Their website is ultra secure
> The enemies are actually challenging and different
> Many ways of training combat
> Skilling can be fun (if done right)
> Pretty much any age can play it (can be seen as good or bad really)
