I've got a little question to ask, were any of your sound effects also used in Elfen Lied? I noticed a sound right after Lunair decided not to kill Reives but there was a sword noise. It reminded me of a sound that I felt was familiar and I think I had heard on it =P

It's probably just similar, but it reminds me of that sound that goes right after Lucy kills the kids in that classroom.

By the way, On the subject of sound effects, I notice you have a lot of neat sound effects like a whispering voice and bird wings. Where did you get them?

There was a spelling error in the scene where Lunair and the Duke are in the dining room. Congradulations is spelled "Congratulations"
Err.. If I am bugging you with these relatively meaningless bug reports, I can stop.
 
Yep, some of those sound effects are from EL, a.k.a. ARMS in the credits. The wild life sounds are mostly from Canadian Wildlife Sound website's freebies. And ty for that report. No worries, they are helpful so keep them coming. :)
 
Aha! I found one of your easter eggs. "Elf's Song" ;) The soldier morphing minigame was wonderful by the way. It was so hard to get past the last bit where there were 4 guards in one spot =P
 
Hahah, glad you found it and know what it's about. :p Not many would get it even if they found it. (The other books there are parodies to a few other games on .orgs, by the way.)

Hope Chapter VI's mini-games will be enjoyable too; there are 2 there I think.
 
Yeah, I thought that Reminder to Not Die was a pun on Memento Vivier =P

I'm not sure what the other two are though.

By the way, if you plan on releasing more music boxes I would love to get one of the opening menu music. I like that one =P
 
The other two were Ethereal Dreams and Master of the Wind, I think. But eh, the song played at the title screen is just To Realize with a small intro. o:

And I imagine I would have to play Ethereal Dreams to get "Tales of a Chin Stabber" Will there be new books in the future as well?

I found the Vikon Figure and got me a golden egg! =D And the To Realize music box. Didn't realize when I posted that a bit ago there were boxes to acquired not at the store.

Though the maid in my mansion won't let be go downstairs apparently. I should have the insolent wench fired.

Fixed, thanks.  :smile: There probably will be more books, I need to add more items overall (and perhaps even make them actually useful *gasp*) in the future.

P.S. You sure know your manure! :p
 
I just noticed an error that I can't believe slipped by your bugtesters lol.

On the battle menu, you have buttons on the screen. Such as a Q on the Bow, a S on the healing orb, etc.

Well, Lunair's fan icon has a "W" on it when it should be a "Q". Shouldn't it also be on the left side too? I may be wrong.
 
Ahh yes, apparently I coded that battle individually and the some of the copy pastes got messed up from the older versions. . . I think. Not really quite sure what happened there, but will fix it up. :>

Edit: Oh, in other news, I have finished some of the battle system implementation of the transformation system. Only wolves so far, though.
 
Ahh... you're making my game look bad :( I have to come up with a better system... maybe I'll make my birds drop p... nvm. I like the transforming concept. Reminds me of Shippo from Inuyasha(random, i know). Seems like your game is going well, especially since you aren't making the same mistake I did and using a load of scripts. I can't wait to see how Chapter VII turns out.

Btw, for the bird thing, you could check for the tiles 1 left, right, and down from the intended landing spot if the normal one is unpassable. I mean, it doesn't really make a big difference, but it could help if there was some bug that required you to land immediately(good to be safe ^^) But, you probably already thought of this.
 
Heheh, good idea. I'll definitely keep that in mind. :> Hopefully I'll be able to figure out some short-cut script calls for the checking.

I downloaded this game once, and I REALLY REALLY liked it.  Im so glad I found it again, cause I accidently deleted it and couldn't remember it's name.  I recognized the screenies.  Thanks you so much for making such a shmexy game.

I wonder how Vikon's new head will look? Will he be included in the demo? If only for a one-off joke about cats, and cabbages, or something.

As always, Lunarea's work is superb.

The new sprites won't be included in the demo, but oh he will be. ;) Well, sort of.
 
Wow, new sprite heads? I'm not sure, the old ones look good too! I suppose you know what you're doing though.

Anyway, I finished the Chapter 6, and am looking forward to the next installment!
 
Don't worry, it will be much more fitting. The biggest benefit is that it will be original, adding more character and identity to them. I will also then revamp Quintessence home forum's cheesy emoticons with their edits, heheh.

Note: Read the HINT text file. Do not forget to use the transformation functions, as it is the main showcase of the demo - both in-battle and out of battle. Press Z to do so. (In battle, making Lunair the active character is required.)

Demo Includes:
-Winter title screen randomizer (3).
-A map preview.
-Out-of-Battle transformation system with utilities (press Z).
-In-Battle transformation system with utilities (press Z as Lunair).
-Practice battles.
-The best boss battle in Quintessence so far that is too awesome to be included in the actual game. (Not the 2 wolves - located inside the battle portal.)

Use hawk form and fly north-east, then drop down at the small field deep inside the canopy, and head north.
