Ps3 or 360

X360 and Wii are like the PS2, as they sell they're free, people start to make idiot games for them just to fill.
At least those systems have some REALLY good games...

4 games... I think I wouldn't waste my money just to buy a console with 4 games...
Maybe I am buying a PS3, because I don't like the 360 that much. But buying a PS3 right now would be just a waste of money.
Also you forgot to add Ratchet and Clank

Also Flaepru, the 360 games usually have more extras than the PS3 counterparts. Eternal Sonata is a game hardly anyone gives a shit about, and Bioshock is only getting extras because it's coming out later. Extras most of us don't care about because we already beat it... 2 years ago.

What's the 360 getting? Aside from Rock Band, Lost Odyssey, Assasin's Creed and lots of other DLC exclusives, all Valve games (e.i. good games everyone loves) get content while Valve gives the PS3 the finger for being a little prick. TF2 is getting PC content as well as some extras, there's a special version of Portal coming to the 360, and you can bet Left 4 Dead is going to get lots of extras too.

The only thing the PS3 has in this regard is it makes some content free... And then of course Microsoft makes it free the next day, so PS3 continues to fail.

Oh yeah, the PS3 has flOw and Pixeljunk eden. Two really good indie games. What does the 360 get?

º New Portal
º Castle Crashers
º Braid
º Carcassone
º Geometry Wars

And then the 360 will open it's doors to any indie developers with $100 in their wallet and a twinkle in their eye while the PS3 sits by itself in the corner because it hates people and eats babies.

Those were examples. I could say God of War III, L.A. Noire, Final Fantasy Versus XIII and MANY others, but I didn't want to.

Viva Piñata is WAY childish.

Also this mindset nullifies your entire point of view on the matter.

I prefer to play a game where I don't feel like I'm 2 years old.

Extras make the game live on. So you just don't waste your 60 bucks ou something that lasts 10 hours.

Anyway, saying about each consoles games, I can't say "MGS4 rox, Halo 3 sux", that varies from taste.

The extras in Bioshock are hardly necessary since most of Bioshock's audience has already played the game on the PC or 360. Not to mention the extras to Bioshock don't add to the game's length.

And extras don't make a game live on, replayability makes a game live on.

I have a PS3 (MGS4 Edition) and I personally prefer it over the 360. The exclusive titles of the PS3 appeals me more that the 360. In my case, don't see the point of having a 360 because I can have all the 360 games on my PC. Halo, Bioshock, CoD4, Gears of War, you name it, I have all of them running quite nicely. I also have a wireless 360 controller for PC so I don't see the difference, except that I have better graphics. Besides that, I think the PS3 will live a lot longer than the 360.

Why does everyone keep saying "PS3 because of MSG4" or "360 because of GayHalo3?"

All in all, the 360 has its one-up's against the PS3, just as the PS3 has its one-up's against the 360.
And whoever said that the 360 has the same visual abilities as the PS3 smokes weed. XD

Personally, I prefer my PS3, but there's sometimes I wish I had a 360 simply because I know people that have 360's and not PS3 and so we can't play COD4 against each other.

By the way, I specified the MGS4 Edition simply because of its hardware, PS1/2 backward compatibility and 4 USB ports. Not because of MGS4.

I agree with dargor in most of the points but I still have not enough reason to buy one my brother and I will buy a PS3 if Final Fantasy VERSUS 13 is released
(looks much better than Final Fantasy XIII IMHO <_< )

"if a game as bright graphics, it's for babbies" - flaepru, 2008

Now ask me what I think about Eternal Sonata. Well, no need to ask, I guess?

The original 60gb PS3 is the same way, which is what I have. Girlfriend's playing FF10 right now, actually. Trying to get her into games by letting her play what she wants..

The PS3 and the 360 each have their ups and downs.

> PS3

Pros:
-Better graphics (don't be a faggot and say otherwise, it's been proven)
-Console Longevity (doesn't burn in hell like the 360 every two months)
-PlayStation Home (though I see this as entirely pointless and a complete ripoff of Second Life, and I don't approve of Sony stealing Nintendo's Mii idea)
-Online=Free (Not a single PS3 title requires a monthly fee to be played online, and for most online gamers out there, this is orgasmic)
-Console Exclusives (A lot of the Sony exclusives are simply awesome, like MGS4, Uncharted: Drake's Fortune, Little Big Planet, as well as future exclsuves like Killzone 2 [which, its predecessor was considered the Halo-killer], and inFAMOUS)
-Price Drops (though there won't be one this Christmas, there will be one soon after, which will be helpful).
-Downloadable Content (Now Microsoft has their work cut out for them, with Sony catching on to the multi-player scene)
-Gaming Library (Though it's not as solid or depth-y as the 360's, developers are catching on, and that means there will be even more exclusives.)
-Connects to PSP (only relevant if you own a PS3 and are happy with their shitty lineup of games)
-Blu-Ray (This is the main thing that allows for better graphics in the system.
-Processing Cell (7 active, 1 for redundancy. Why is this good? Because of its 7 core architecture, Cell allows developers to designate each core to a specific task. More sparks, more people, more physics, better AI, more particles, more of everything at the same time on the same HD TV.)
-3rd Party Support (PS3 has an extensive amount of 3rd party supporters from all over the world. It is the most supported system out of the three consoles. This probably means, more games, more innovations, etc)
-Hard Drives (This means that developers will be able to use the hard drives to drive gameplay or to speed up and reduce load time.)

Cons:
-EXPENSIVE WHAT THE FUCK
-Big and ugly design (can't wait for the slim-line)
-Processing Cell (This sucker makes it super difficult to develop for)
-NO RUMBLE

> 360

Pros:
-Broader Library (Yes, it's a year older than the PS3 and has a hugeeeeeee library)
-Higher-quality games (in my opinion, Gears of War and Halo 3 are considered high quality. I don't even like the 360)
-Xbox Live (even though you must pay for it, you can see what friends are online, send them messages [voice and text], and jump right into a game with them.)
-Price tag ($100-200 less for a gaming experience? Hell yeah.)
-Better graphics than the Wii >_>
-Live Marketplace
-Solid exclusive titles (GoW2, which is essentially the same game as 1.)

Cons:
-Red ring of death (you die nao)
-Overheats easily

I admit that I'm not as well-read on the 360 as I am on the PS3, but if anyone has anything else to add, feel free to do so.

I like how you list some things that are obvious for BOTH consoles as "PS3 Pros", like PRICE DROPS or THIRD PARTY SUPPORT or HARD DRIVES.

A copule problems with this I wanted to question:

1) There is rumble for the PS3. It came around the same time as MGS4 and most, if not, all games have been updated to support this feature.
2) Big and ugly? Wtf? It's a sleek, shiny black with silver lining. How is that ugly?
3) The red ring is supposedly fixed in the newer 360 systems, so it's not necessarily a problem for someone who wants to buy a system in 2008 onto 2009.

Ah, I wasn't even aware of that. I actually rented a PS3 back in April or so, and it didn't have Rumble.

Big and ugly, not necessarily referencing it's sleek body design. But I am referencing the size aspect of it. I know there's a lot of technology and whatnot inside of it, but I'm sure Sony will come up with a slimmer, more convenient version within the next couple of years. That's one reason why the PS2 is still kickin'.

I've still heard complaints from even close friends of mine who have experienced this, and even though some of them aren't the RROD, there's constant overheating, even when the play time is inconsistent (only a few hours a day for about a month or two). My cousin (NOT THE HOT ONE) got a 360 as recently as June, just in time for the "stay-outta-the-sun" attitude that would befall thousands of high-schoolers, only to have said malfunction occur.

Overall, I'd pick the PS3. It's catching up to the 360 and Wii in all areas (Wii sucks anyways [lol jk]) and it'll once again be the beastly champion of all the consoles. You can't stop it, you can only hope to contain it.

EDIT: Also Des, 360 required you to purchase a hard drive, for $200 [which comes standard for the PS3] and also equalled up to be the full price of a PS3 coupled with the 360's $300 price tag.
