The Xbox 360 got the 3RL (RRoD) problem. EVEN with the Falcon motherboard. That's most likely when it overheats to death. But when a 360 doesn't get a RRoD, it gets Error 74, so your console will end up dying anyway.
No. This simply isn't true. A very small percentage of systems have errors, and when they do, it's usually possible to get it fixed or replaces by Microsoft.
The 360 isn't getting MGS4.
So? That's only one game movie, and not a particularly good one. If it wasn't the latest game in a series with thousands of raging fanboys, then it wouldn't mean crap.
The PlayStation Network is growing every day more and more, and now it's the same as Xbox Live. You have a lot of downloadable games (WipEout HD, Burnout Paradise, Crash 3, Elefunk, Pain, and a lot more), demos, and the Qore, which I personally like. Plus, it's free.
You say yourself that it's the
same as Xbox Live (i'll ignore that a good number of people would agree that Xbox's online features are superior). So, if it's the same, then this is a moot point.
Technically, the PlayStation 3 has more processing power but less filling rate, however, Killzone 2 trailers show amazing textures never seen on the Xbox 360 (whcih is one year older than the PS3).
So? People love to cite
raw power when comparing systems, but when stackes up against the price of the system, it simply doesn't mean anything. You even negate your point on your own, by saying that the Xbox is older than the PS3. Clearly, it wouldn't have the same kind of statistics as the PS3 in that case (and thus, it's significantly cheaper and has a larger library of games -- so how does this point favor the PS3?)
Even with many games going to 360 first, PS3 versions get extras. Just check Eternal Sonata and BioShock for the PS3.
Very few people care about extras. People care about the games themselves. A few extra little things thrown in here and there isn't usually worth the significant price difference between the systems.
The 360 got a lot exclusives, but many of them suck (aka Viva Piñata, Ace Combat 6). PS3 got the top-rated games. 360 = amount, PS3 = quality. Some PS3 exclusive games:
Entirely objective ("these games are better than these games"). If this was a valid point, then I'd be equally as valid to cite Viva Piñata, Braid and Banjo-Kazooie as Xbox exclusives that are better than your PS3 exclusives (and to someone who wants to
play a game as opposed to ogle graphics, then they are better). This is another moot point.
So breaking down your post, these are your "reasons" why the PS3 is superior to the Xbox:
- PS3 has similar online capabilities as the Xbox 360.
- The PS3 is more "powerful" than the Xbox360 because it's a newer console and twice as expensive.
- Some PS3 games, which are available for both consoles, have little extras.
Well. I guess I'm sold!
