What makes a Wii and 6 games worth a PS3?

Because if you are going to use the PS3 to play games, which it is meant for, you will need to spend at least 350 more dollars to get those 6 games.

PS3 games are gonna cost more in Japan just like they always have. Hell, they cost $60-70 NOW.

The comments made by Sony fellows are that PS3 games in the states at least will likely cost between $59.99 and $69.99, that is, a $10-$20 increase. Will there be games that cost $99.99? I doubt it, but especially considering the fact that priocing is decided by the publishers, I wouldn't be surprised if we got one or two.

I'd pay $100 for FFXIII :P

I remember when a few N64 games broke the $100 mark. The ones that did were definately not worth it, but that was just the N64. High costs for cartridges and whatnot... it's a wonder the N64 wasn't a financial failure.

Whoa, really? Which? I remember paying somewhere north of $60 for Pokemon Stadium and that's about it. Everything else was $40ish. Maybe that's 'cuz I got in late in the game.

I don't remember which, but it was sometime close to when the thing launched. It's been a long time, but I know I've seen at least 3 nearly worthless titles cost that much in FuncoLand... I know Turok was needlessly expensive, even if it came with a backpack.

I wouldn't mind playing a new Ratchet and Clank game...those games were almost perfect. Well maybe as far as story goes, it's lacking but gameplay is just amazing! I'll probably just mooch off friends who get a PS3, up until the time we do :D

For a game machine, it's expensive. $600 is expensive unless you're rich. It doesn't matter what kind of thing the PS3 has in it, being a 'game machine' makes it 'expensive', and no amount of spinning can change that. It's a blu-ray player? Big deal. It's more powerful than a human brain, and is telekinetic? Brains are expensive, aren't they? You ever try to buy a brain? Brains aren't cheap, and neither is the PS3. The PlayStation brand has the stigma of being a game machine, and $600 is an unacceptable price for the people I know at least.

It might be cheap compared to the part inside it, but that's not what people care about. It's NOT cheap compared to its competition, and that's why it's unfortunately not going to do very well.
