the really cool thing about that screen saver, is there's more flames where there's more white, and less flames when it's darker. i just got lucky that the screen saver worked so well with that background
I like to keep things tidy. I keep my most commonly used programs pinned to the start bar at the bottom.
@psiclone that screensaver is fucking bomb, dude. I just have my screen fade to black. I haven't found a good screensaver I like, and using no screensaver actually saves energy Ive found.
@untra: I'm the opposite, I use the dock feature for everything. Even in open office and mozilla, all the shortcuts and everything are on the top. Man win 7 has the customizability i want, except for a few things. Microsoft is moving towards the customize the shit outta everything direction, and once they've got things like the start menu and all that other jazz done, I'm really hoping i can move pretty much everything around as I damn want.
For some reason, I have mood swings. I download everything to my desktop, as it is a damn folder, and it gets stuffed up like crap, then suddenly i clean it and then it's perfectly empty. Seeing as this is my first time doing it with win7, let's see how it goes.
honestly, i only put things on desktop if i plan on using it soon. i just hide my desktop items cause i have this habit of just hitting start and typing in what i want to run anyway
It's been a while since I've done much of anything with my desktop. To be honest, it's usually mostly covered with open programs, so I don't pay much attention to it. I should probably reinstall ObjectDock, though. If anyone could point me toward a good site where I might be able to find a better wallpaper for a desktop this size, I would be very happy. (This was the result of a Google search a while back. I used to use two pieces of this image as two wallpapers for a multimonitor display on my laptop)
