Is Banbury nice?
Job I've gone for is sales floor supervisor with a view to being a department manager by next year, but I have the opportunity to help set up a new store in Banbury. Did Walsall and that went pretty well but I could travel there, I'd have to hotel it up in Banbury (expenses paid). But it's a larger store, more interesting. Oxford way ay it?
Alternatively: Omagh, Leicester (well, Blaby), Edinburgh (unlikely), Shrewsbury (might move there), Stafford (could travel), or Fort Dunlop (could travel). Or all of the above.

Had a dream I was playing electric bagpipes and synths at a giant birthday party. Power goes out. We move to back stage and they try to fix it and bring in more rigging for lights. So many ways to make money...Just get creative. I'm pretty sure I posted I need some sprites done and artwork done that I was willing to pay for. Also, thanks to that fiverr thing. I have a friend who is homeless and is an amazing artist and person.
Hopefully he looks into that as well as everything else I'm pointing him towards.

It's sad, but I had two jobs in 2007 and the only reason I ever had them in the first place was simply because of my mother. The supervisor interviewing me at the grocery story knew my mother's supervisor, and highly endorses her, and me (especially during take your child to work day). The second job was because my mother was already working there and mentioned me needing a job, and bam! Job!
Now, down here in the south, my mother is not here for connections. And no matter how many times I apply or get an interview, it just doesn't work out.
I was actually REALLY close a couple of months ago, but they couldn't produce the needed paperwork for me to take the drug test, and nothing happened.
Fuck them. I wish there were other ways to show you can get the job - like showcasing your skills or seeing you work as an example. ><

Strawberry, be a little more confident. Build up a better resume. Figure out what are your skills. More than anything, be proactive. Tell them why you are better than other candidates. Perhaps you could try Craigslist and do some odd jobs here and there, but having a stable job makes you feel more secure. Also, I don't recommend a business venture, specially because it may be a long time until it starts being profitable.
Looking for a job is like a full time job itself.
The only reason I'm in my current job now is cause I was unemployed for a year before finding where I currently worked, and even then, I worked for the company for free, for 9 months.
Jobs are ridiculously hard to get. Does Star not know anyone who could help you out? Although, contacts do help with getting a job, yes, but you can't rely on other people, or friends of friends, try going out and making contacts on your own.
Maybe I'm spewing random bullshit.
Also, perhaps try Redbubble? It's a T-shirt website, my bros gf made a lot of money in the first few months, and now she earns a small amount each month.
