Post What's on Your Mind

I can't manage to download webpage HTML using the RMXP version of Winsock and TCPSocket. Anyone know how to do it/know of a way to get the HTML of a webpage through RMXP?
I think I'm tripping up with the use of #recv.
Probably a Xi question

You have to send the right headers, but iirc the existing scripts don't have the ability to create headers out the box. It might be simpler to request a txt file that happens to have xml in it?

I splurged and reactivated my FFXI account for my birthday. I blame Melanii.
Edit: Fffff-our hour update in progress. I haven't played since 2013.
WHHHHAAAAAATTTTTTT?????

Wow, I haven't been called Melanii since I changed my username everywhere.

If I could find a way to spice up "Strawberry" as an online alias, I'd keep using it. o.o

It's a shame viewing member profiles is locked so you have to be logged in, or I could grab the usernames from there. ~

Hitting the reply button has never made me smile so much before :U

Should be as simple as building an HTTP header, but the session would need to be held, which requires logging in and that will be a bit crazy to implement.

I think you're better off doing some favours for Amy and getting some kind of php API done so member profile information can be queried.

That looks like the best way to do it. At this point i'll leave user verification until the project is mostly complete, so I don't accidentally waste anyone's time.

But if you're ever looking for a little project to work on Amy, let me know

Sorry, fix't.

Also reminded me to donate hella bux, so, donated hella bux.

And that is the first and last time you will ever hear me say hella bux.

alright sounds good. make sure to add me on steam that way it's easier for me to contact you online. I don't think I'm nearly active enough to get a group together using the forums. you too HiPoyion, gimme your username and we can survive the vast wastelands together
