I got fired today... I accidentally deleted about 20 medical records because of the shitty software the clinic used... Don't ask me how. Power ran out, and when the computer turned back on I could no longer access my patient notes, which weren't complete, so I thought it'd make more sense simply deleting them. In hindsight, it wasn't one of my smartest moments. :specs:
I don't blame them. It was quite honestly the only logical thing to do. But I'm super bummed out...
On the other hand, now I have lots of time to kick ass in my Step 3. And thanks to my brother, I was offered a 1 month observership in a hospital in Minneapolis, so I guess I'll do that. Plus, I'll be starting my Internal Medicine residency next year and I can probably get a part time job in the meanwhile.
I just... I'll miss my patients. I'm smarter and better trained than most GPs in my country. And from what I've seen the past 3 months, I care more than most.
