On my mind: Power levels are not bullshit. That line is quite stupid to say. Are weight classes bullshit on UFC or Boxing? Of course not. I don't do poor writing and contradictions. That feat enables me to balance power levels, or in my story "megaton ratings". It's very humorous that power levels don't matter, but a particular Anime ends up with useless background characters. The only logical solution was to eliminate power levels altogether. Yeah, that worked nice didn't it? NOPE.
On to megaton ratings. An energy scale commonly used by nuclear explosions. It makes more sense than some mysterious lifeforce energy with scaling that's totally crazy. Megatons are perfect for measuring large explosions and high energy output. Scaling can be made easier, and power classes are actually logical.
A being with an output of 7 million megatons per second would be vastly outclassed by a being with a 50 octodecillion megaton output. Obviously. It's why I created power matching. This allows vastly powerful characters to fairly battle weaker characters in tournaments or competitions. Example below:
Syla: 7,000,000 megatons per second. (7 million)
Krysta: 50,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000,000 megatons per second. (50 octodecillion)
Normally Krysta could kill Syla by literally just standing within a few light-years of her. Power matching would cap Krysta's power output to 7 million temporarily. After the battle Krysta's power output would return to 50 octodecillion. It's like dropping a weight class to fight someone fairly. (Krysta is 20 classes above Syla).
Logical sense and no contradictions for the win.
