Phew. Back home. For a few days a least. My laptop is working again. Turns out a ram card was loose, thank god it was nothing serious.

Amy, my family's first PC, if it can be called that, was a Commodore 64. My dad bought the external 5.25" inch floppy disk drive for it. It didn't have a proper monitor. You had to plug it into the TV. I don't remember this happening, but my parents told me that when my dad brought it home they locked the door to their room with the kids crying outside, while they played Defender on their big rear-projection CRT TV.

I've been on a Foo Fighters binge again suddenly thanks to Concrete and Gold.
I've grown up with the band, they've been one of my favorites ever for rock or even alt-rock as I grew up in high school with the In Your Honor and Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace era Foo Fighters. Their hit The Pretender will always be a great song to me.

My first CD was a Rugrats Musical sound track. I was way too old for that. Shameful , yes, But i lived a sheltered life and had no taste in music. Listening to music as a pastime just wasn't a thing my family did.

Taking the time to optimize my physical backups. I filled up a 60+gb dive with uncompressed folders. But there's a lot of stuff in those folders that I don't need to backup, plus compressing everything will let me store a lot more.

I just spent 10 seconds looking up OpenCV. Never used it before. Is it anything like TensorFlow? I've used that and it seems to work pretty well.

The trailers for Kingdom Hearts 3 looked bad. Maybe it's just bad editing? They way the cut the previews. The voice acting felt kind of flat and the character models weren't very expressive. I mean, it's felt similar to non important scenes in the ps2 game. But it's not putting their best foot forward. At least they're showing actual game footage.

I don't see how people can get excited over a few seconds of the Elder Scrolls theme, a zoomed-out view of landscape that could be anywhere, and the number six. Of course there's going to be an Elder Scrolls 6. It was only a matter of time, and no one should be surprised. I can get excited when I see a trailer that makes it look like a good game.
What about. Like Pokemon Go, but instead of seeing this:
It's rendered using tilesets.
So you see ground, fields, forests, water, etc.
And instead of coming across Pokemon, there are monsters on the map that you have to find and battle. You get EXP and gold and such like any other RPG game.
So it's a real-world RPG.
