Outsource your own job to a guy in India or China. He'll be glad to do some enterprise web development.
Did you ever have to use Lotus Notes? There was a time when I had to use Lotus Notes. There were no fancy web applications for submitting a reimbursement or booking plane tickets or even searching a database. It was all done in Lotus Notes. Email, group calendar, mailing lists, booking a conference room, reserving a company car... all Lotus Notes, all in different databases and all on different servers, and you either had to know which server they were on, or have someone who already had that database send you a link to it.
I had a friend who worked in IBM software. His boss was annoyed that people weren't giving IBM software a chance. My friend said to his boss, "Everyone's first experience with IBM software is Lotus Notes. I think that's what's putting them off. If we fix Lotus Notes, then maybe our customers will want to try our other products." His boss said, "What's wrong with Lotus Notes?" That is something that can only be said with a straight face by someone who has either never used Lotus Notes or never used a modern web browser.
