@mods, is it possible to lengthen the amount of time something stays up on 'new posts'?

I don't think I can change it myself. Isn't new posts relative to when you log in? Like all posts that have been posted since last login show up

it's super inconsistent when it clears read threads and when it clears unread threads (at least it feels that way). It seems to only store unread for two days (i think, never specifically tested) but sometimes i swear it clears faster than that
