I decided to make a new account on Runescape at around 7pm just to check stuff out since it's had some pretty big changes since I last played it, had to make a new account since my old one had been hacked and banned, shame really since it had over 300m in cash and items lol... oh well.

... So yeah, almost twelve hours later and I'm still playing it, I have work in six hours, I should really get some sleep.

I think I'm getting into Runescape again.

I still have one and I'm thinking of taking the battlesystem and multiplayer concept and adapting it to a phone app.

Would anyone be interested in playing it? It'd be one of those I-have-two-seconds-to-spare apps. Obviously without using the Megaman IP lol

I think I'm getting into Runescape again.

I played it again a couple months ago. Still fun and addictive, but a lot quicker. Being able to fast travel anywhere for free has made a world of difference in the player economy. 300m is nothing nowadays because you can get from a skilling location to the Grand Exchange so fast.

I bought a pack of three bonds, works out something like 38m gold, I couldn't be arsed to farm, was just doing quests etc. Still a good game in my opinion.

Runescape is great until you start to get into the level 50-60 range on your skills, then it is incredibly slow if you're not spending tons of money on it.

The Switch is pretty cool and Breath of the Wild is amazing.

Seems rather petty. If you have a Switch, get the Switch version (higher display resolution on TV, higher frame-rate in portable mode [yeah...]).
If you don't have a Switch and don't plan on getting one, get the Wii U version. Everyone's happy.

I've only heard good things, but my soul hurts when I see videos of the game because the frame-rate drops are very drastic on both the Wii U and the Switch (when in TV mode).

Which one? The original or the new one? Either way with the new one you can customise it in terms of adding and removing windows, resizing them, repositioning them etc. so now I've got a great set up where everything can be seen onscreen but without it all being cluttered

I meant the website, there's a lot of noise behind almost ever single text box and the landing page is very cluttered for someone who hasn't even made an account yet.

At this moment there is zero reason to get a switch since its only good game is also on the wiiu.

I'll get a switch once it has at least 3 games I want to play on it. That are exclusive. And not Nintendo IP (exception being non-spinoff Pokémon).

Or if it gets Bayonetta 3. I bought the WiiU solely to play the Bayo2 exclusive and I have no regrets. WiiU is a Bayonetta machine for me. For that matter, I'd buy any console that gets Bayonetta 3 exclusive...

My FFV Advance text extractor thus far;

Everything works great, it can extract the North American and European (all languages) text. It grabs all the control codes properly too (those b7 91 boxes, which means clear text and remove picture) and will use unicode when available.

What I'll do now is write in a way to grab the control codes and add some meaning to them, as well as the special characters, then I'd re-write this HTML parser into a formatted XML parser so it would be suitable for (re)translation.


There's enough information here to make a JSON exporter, so I could do something crazy and export all this to RPG Maker MV common events.
