Also this is embarrassing but can anyone explain this JS api to me? I want to make a controller in Ruby or Java or something, and I've worked out it needs 3 bytes of info, I just don't understand what they're meant to be.

Considering it's a byte, I assumed it was the RGB color 0-255, but that's just a guess.
