djzalzer ... my girlfriend works at a k-mart (ASDA) over here and she can use her card number when she buys things online. There's absolutely NO way they could know it wasn't you. You don't have to order things from your own home.

Dude don't you think that all of us also work and have to pay school bills and such. Im sure most of the OLDER portion of this forum works and has bills to pay.

I mean im not gonna be an asshole and hateful like some of the people on here, but it just seems kind of pathetic to ask a bunch of people on a forum to help you buy an xbox if your over the age of like 14. Thats like me posting for people to help pay for my car insurance bill for my car.

Its called save up like every other hard working person out there. Right now im saving to get a 100 Gallon saltwater fish tank but you dont see me asking for help or donations. Its been 2 months and now i have enough to buy it, with MY OWN hard earned money. Asking for donations for a personal RECREATIONAL item is just weird, i could see if you were asking for donations for something that is at least valid.

But i feel bad at the same time because not everyone is fortunate enough to always get what they want, even if it means saving i guess. and i also like this forum and the people on it,  so im going to make a donation also, i will make the donation in the next couple of days or so through paypal. Its gonna be a giant one but im sure anything will help.
( and dont worry im not gonna be a dick and donate .01 cent lol)

If I was just some ordinary member, I'd agree with you entirely. But at the same time I've been running this forum for a long time (10+ hours a day). I'm not saying "hey guys buy me this because I take care of this place", but it cuts into my time significantly, so it's more that I'm entitled to at least ask. And I'm not begging or anything. If people don't want to help out, they don't have to. I'm not getting upset if people decide not to.

Plus I'm being honest when I say that I want it for the AGM stuff. It would be pretty lame of me to run a forum that would be so heavily based around XBOX Live without having access to it myself.

that's really no excuse either. if it is really cutting into your time then don't do it, i mean you aren't getting paid to do this (except for this fund) so you wouldn't be losing out on anything.
