Master of the Wind

Master of the Wind (Complete!)

Despite a comment in an unrelated thread, I want to assure the fans that there will not be a charge of any kind for the future installments of Master of the Wind. Besides, merchandising is where the REAL money is made.

Look forward to Stoic figurines with bone cleaving action and attachable bandana and cape accessories.

Speaking of Sparrow.
Is Vec (Kavoks Assistant) the Sparrow? Or am I a idiot. Or are both true! This spoiler will self destruct in 15 seconds.

Could someone help me out with the mole mine area? I'm stuck there. :(

I keep running into the moles, and they teleport me to another area that I've usually visited. I'm not sure what to do!

Emma and Douglas are both Sparrow. It's very obvious, really.

Emma is conveniently off elsewhere at the time you fight Sparrow. (There is no truth to the rumour that she was at home! None at all!) She is in a bad mood and her anger clouds her fashion sense forcing her to wear neon orange trousers which do not go with her hair eyes. To solve this, she coves her face with the hood.

While sulking around she meets Douglas (who is black and oragne, just like Sparrow! A connection is uncovered!). Douglas escaped from the jail when Ercello's snores were actually offensive skills and broke the bars leaving a gap which was conveniently shaped like a tiger. Getting the keys and freeing the other toutens was not a priority because Shadehorn stole his dinner.

Emma and Douglas go to fort Drake in search of a replacement dinner for Douglas (It seemed like a logical place to look - it was dark and Emma read the sign as 'Resturant'). Once there they see Shroud and decide to pull a practical joke, merging into one person for the sake of convenience. They sneak up behind him and are going to go 'boo!' however Emma is not fluent in tiger and she accidentally mispronounced 'scare' (Which is 'Grrr.') as 'kill' (Also 'Grrr.'). Douglas attacks Shroud and to avoid getting in trouble they give the fake name 'Sparrow' and decide to kill all witnesses. They fail and Douglas returns to jail because he is a GOOD CITIZEN at heart and Emma goes home and cries into a bunny.

End of Wumpi's theory.

Well, I will not confirm or deny any theories about Sparrow's true identity....but it seems clear that I won't be able to fool Wumpi's extraordinary powers of perception for long. By all means, keep speculating, people. Maybe one of you will get it right. You just won't know it.

@Starwinder: Start keeping track of where each mole hole takes you. It isn't random and eventually you should be able to figure out the right path.

Judging from the scene, I figure it's either Vec or Barry, but Barry would have to have been hypnotized or something like that if he were to be THAT deadly.

Main reason I think it's Vec, is he is the only Earth Magic user I have seen so far. And when Kavok's talking about killing Shroud, he says I think you knows who's best to take him down, or something like that :P

ArtBane and I have been talking, and we decided we would throw this on here:

Arc II History Scene

I do not bump without good reason.

This is a secret scene from Arc II detailing a particular element of the backstory. We came to realize that very few people have found this, though. To get it while playing Arc II, you need to visit all the Arc I dungeons (Fort Drake, the old Gallian church, the Terr Mountains) as well as return to the mine dungeon before the end of the game. It wasn't especially hard to do, but there was nothing within the game that gave any hints about this.

I didn't want this to go underseen because I was just very pleased with how it came out. It strikes a very different tone than the rest of the game, which is fitting because it's detailing a different part of Solest's history. It's a nice small file (5 MB) and it takes about 5-6 minutes to watch. Hope you enjoy!

We have a similar idea for Arc III, but we'll have to find a way to make it less difficult to track down.

I loved the history scene, I was probably one of the few who saw it in the game :P

The main thing which threw me off, was I thought it was only the Arc I bosses, I didnt know it was the mine as well :P

Excellent Job! I just finished Arc II (I'm lazy and slow, I did it in one day though ;)).

I also enjoyed the history lesson. I was thoroughly pleased. I wish I had taken some screenshots of some mapping errors and I think there was one grammatical error I found. Nothing major, most of it took extreme searching to find.

But good job! It was very enjoyable. Several parts sent shivers down my spine. The only disappointing thing is having to wait a few months for the third Arc ;)

In the meantime, good luck. Thanks for the experience.

Level up Shroud so you get Wind Shove, it helps a lot. Also use Willy Willy to blind him while you heal ;)

It took me over three tries to beat him, he was hard :(

Another tip:
If you still have your Cowpie (Minotaur's item from the mansion battle), the fight with Sparrow is a good place to use it :)

That and Willy Willy will help keep you from being killed over and over at a lower level. Can't really level any more at that point if you haven't been keeping seperate saves

Also, a good idea is to go fight the Kobolds and collect Dynamite ;)
The hardest boss for me was that slavemaster monk fool whose name I remembered not two seconds ago. Dican, yes that was it. That guy was a bitch ;\
