Master of the Wind

Master of the Wind (Complete!)

Its not Vec.Heres why (dont read if you havent played Arc III
Its not Vec cause hes an earth mage. Sparrow is one of those guys who can learn spells by seeing them done, you know that cause in Arc III when that guy who burnt the guard place is in the jail room, he says to Sparrow Guys like us have to stick together. But i dont have a clue who it really is

Stoic's past is far greater than one might think. He's lived through a lot, and Arc 4 will hint there's some other things aside from that in his long life...
Hence, he is mephesto.

Just because Vec only used earth magic, does not mean he doesn't know anymore. He could simply be hiding it.

I'm much more interested in Stoic's past than Sparrow's identity right now.

If Mephesto wasn't a mage, and Stoic existed after their time, how did he come to be?

It's been confirmed by Volrath that Stoic/Bones did not exist before Mephesto's & Thanatos' time, but Volrath, you never specified whether it's the Stoic/Bones we all know or if it is Stoic/Bones before he became Stoic/Bones, or rather, before he died and was resurrected. Was he alive/human during the Third Age?

PS: Mind if I sport the Baron avatar, guys?
PPS: Actually, I'll switch to an Auburn avatar. Same question as above, guys. :)

I think he's kinda in his sixties or something. Because gray hair comes around that age. And since EK believes in Gallian Ideals, he must have been around during their reign.

In his sixties, hmph intresting. Thanks for that.

Just something people might be intrested in that I picked up on. Back a few posts, Volrath said "It was decided who Sparrow was in Arc I, and will not be changed even if someone inadvertedly reveals his identity."

Now does this mean that we meet Sparrow in Arc I, and not Arc II or Arc III, or did Volrath and ArtBane already plan out the general storyling?

Actually, I know from my father's experience that gray hair comes in the late 40's if you're unlucky or early 50's if you're lucky. Depending on your views of gray hair, that is. Personally, I want.

Anyway, the point is that Kovak could easily be as young as 50, though, given that the Gallian war was about fifty years ago, he may be older, showing he was alive for it, if only a young boy at the time.

No it was the whole discussion in the carriage to pearlton. How Sparrow was light and everything, but we know Vec isn't because they said about when he got punched by Shadehorn. Vec is an earth mage, just an earth mage, not that weird special kind of magic that the guy that burnt down the guardhouse and sparrow have.

I doubt Gino is Sparrow, all the evidence point's against Gino being Sparrow also all the real evidence you have is that Gino wear's orange clothes but it's only his top that's orange anyway, I just can't see how Gino could be Sparrow.

Sheesh, you guys are keeping me busy.

First off, his name is Torin.

What Rye meant was that Vec could be able to copy spells and use Earth magic naturally. In other words, maybe he learned it growing up and got all the side effects...and then discovered he could copy spells later in life. I actually pointed this out a couple pages back...how it has never been suggested that this copying skill is not compatible with naturally learned magic...and I was shot in the head by Bruno for my efforts.

Man, you're gonna make me give away all of Arc V! But I suppose it's okay to say that Stoic was not alive in the third age period. Not as a human or a skeleton. But all that lich/double resurrection stuff meant that both Thanatos and Mephesto returned to life during the Fourth Age....so he may have had some interaction with them. All will be revaled in Arc V. Oh yeah, and the avatar is great.

@Bradley: Much of the storyline was planned out as early as Arc I, even if all the characters involved had not yet appeared.

Whilst I was reading some previous pages, I noticed that (I think it was Volrath :S) t'was stated that Arc VII will be a free roaming game, still with the storyline and progression aspects. With that, I saw it say "some sort of air travel." I know it's a bit far ahead guys, but I was wondering what sorta plans you had? Plane? Airship? Blimp? ;) And will you have a world map? :D

If we do have air travel it won't be anything conventional. There won't be any world map that you can actually move around on. At the most we may just have a picture of the world where you can select different places to travel to. But Arc VII is so far off things could still change before that.

Also the final playthrough is in progress and Enkur is finishing up the necessary art so expect Arc IV real soon.

Hmm i have a question about the Magic in Solest, I've read the fiction written by Volrath and in the second one 'Stay of Execution' there is a sorceress named Colter who could use all kind's of Magic and apparently still get the effects of using different schools of magic. Was she just so good a sorceress that she could learn all these schools of magic?

Yeah but it takes someone very powerful and intelligent to learn from more than one school of magic. That is why Stoic was skeptical when he found out Torin was able to use two different schools of magic.

Hehe i thought Torin looked like a bum, not really that powerful or intelligent, although he made a tough boss i still managed to beat him first time but i had to use all my healing items.

@mimic: Colter was ridiculous. One of the best sorceresses Gallia ever had. The drawback with her dipping into every element, however, was that she really couldn't be considered a master of any of them. But versatility was her major interest.
