Wouldn't it be ironic if Emma and Violet did end up living a double life in which they became their own brand of heroes in protection of business?

I think I'm going to stay away from the Sparrow conspiracy theories, I'm just looking forward to seeing why Volrath and ArtBane are so excited about this upcoming arc.

Volrath and Artbane, I can't wait till you let these guys see episode 4, that way the new theorys will fly XD haha. And people will then see who it really isn't -.-

Is the reason why Stoic is still alive approximately 650 years after his time (his time being the time the dark magic that keeps him animated wears off) ever explained?

Could he be a revived Thanatos?
Or maybe Mephesto?
Was he lying when he said the 3rd age was before his time?

Could Sparrow be one of the aforementioned two because of his mastery of more than 2 schools of magic? Weren'y both Thanatos and Mephesto mages of the highest caliber? They supposedly commanded magic that was deemed impossible to learn; things likefully reviving the dead with flesh and bone intact.

I don't really remember the storyline of both characters.

Just spouting random thoughts. Haven't played Arc 3 since it was released, so I barely remember anything about the people I mentioned, or the overall story, for that matter, so forgive me if some details are wrong.

Well...for not playing Arc III since February, you've done a pretty decent job retaining that aspect of the backstory. I'll add sort of a definitive version here for people to reference if they're so inclined.

The Solendian Knighthood was in power at this time. They were less extreme than Gallia, but still did not allow non-humans (or women) to join and magic was forbidden among their ranks. Gallia would later allow women and magic. At this time, necromancy was at its highest point. The greatest necromancer at the time was Thaniel Mortrus. His arch enemy was Mephesto, a general of the knighthood. Mephesto wasn't a magic genius by any means, but he did use lightning magic. This was against the rules, but nobody bothered him because he was winning so many battles.

The last battle of these wars between the knights and the necromancers was so fierce that both of them died. Stoic is not lying when he says he was not alive during this time...he was born early on in the Fourth Age, which starts after these wars.

In the fourth age, Thaniel Mortrus was resurrected through necromancy as a lich and took on the name Thanatos. (Who resurrected him? Well...wait for Arc V). He was now even more powerful but also obsessive about settling the score with Mephesto, who was dead. He was determined to have Mephesto as a servant, and resurrected him as a skeleton. Unfortunately, the skeleton version of him was defeated early on, and Thanatos's next move was to attempt to bring him back as a full flesh and blood human. Thus the rare "double resurrection" that Cade and Bones discussed in Arc III.

Controlling a human was not quite as easy as a skeleton, however, and the psychic spells Thanatos was using gave way. The two of them were pitted against each other yet again, and eventually Thanatos was decisively destroyed.

This particular aspect of the backstory doesn't have as much impact on the game as, say, Gallia's fall, but it's relevant because Solik is attempting to do basically the same thing. Very few mages master the Forbidden Spell of Rebirth, which bypasses necromancy in favor of a total resurrection. Those who do make it into the history books, which is an idea Solik likes very much.

As for Stoic's strangely long life-span....that's still a mystery.

Ow my brain hurts.

Did I start all of this Sparrow thing, which then led on to the third age/Stoic discussion? Oops if I did.

Well I still think it's Gino, and if not Gino, then the clown in the storage room by the port. Definitely. And now I answer some Gin0-Q's:

"How come Gino gives them weapons just to destroy him?"

Well, Gino does indeed give Shroud and Stoic weapons, but that is in Arc I, before Sparrow, when he eventually does start charging, Sparrow's there. If Gino, after all, would give Stoic and Shroud weapons, he would know how to counter then, but this is before my theory comes in, that EK approached him. ((here it is >>>)) Now why would Gino suddenly start charging? Well obviously EK have approached him in some way or another and involved him, maybe with a death threat. After all that is the norm in the MotW series, or maybe they offered him wealth, or great teachings of magic, heck, even a job at EK! These are all things that EK have to offer without much trial.

"How would EK know that Gino was involved with Shroud and Stoic?"

Easy, they spy. This IS prooven by the actual game and not just a theory, as Torin was a spy, and they go on to say that there are more, and as they are opening up an EK in Port Arianna, then guess what! There must be spies there! And Gino's is easily just a few second walk away from the Port.

"Why would Gino (Sparrow) kill Torin"

Why wouln't he? He must have been ordered by EK of course, and offered some sort of "upgrade" or "promotion" in EK.

"Why do you write all this?"

Simple. I have no life except for Master of the Wind.

OMG big theory as to how bones is alive... Hes Mephesto! Thanatos was a REALLY powerful mage, right? well he double-resurrected Mephesto and Mephesto died but because of the way he had been resurrected his flesh rotted off and everything but he stayed (kind of) alive! Im so smart =]

Not possible. After all, Sparrow killed that one guy Stoic and The Baron captured.
