Master of the Wind

Master of the Wind (Complete!)

One thing we're all forgetting. Rellenia (typo?).

Remember how the Touten Corps said how Sparrow was somehow involved with Equipment King setting up in Rellenia? That'd mean that whoever it was would have to be away for a long time prior to the events of this game. Based on the relationship between Emma and Cade at the beginning of Arc 1 I doubt Emma was away.

Another thing to note, remember, Sparrow is a ledgend amongst crime. Remember Gino knew about him. So Sparrow would have to be away from a pemanent location for a looooong time setting up his reputation.

My conclusion; It's either a character who hasn't shown their face in the present story yet, or someone who we only met since after the beginning of the game.

Wow, we're at an all-time high here in terms of Sparrow speculation. As always, I'm not here to endorse or rebut any theory, but I will clarify a few things about previous arcs.

During Sparrow's attack on the carriage in Arc III, he was seen clearly by everyone there, including Stoic, Baron and Gino. The only reason the others didn't follow Shroud in the chase was because they had to deal with pursuing soldiers from the Monastery.

It is not yet known whether Rayne is alive or dead. It is worth mentioning that everything Cade remembers about the circumstances surrounding his disappearance has not yet been shown, and all of it won't be shown for some time.

Bruno is right to point to Rellenia as a valuable part of the mystery. It's been made clear that the name Sparrow has been known in some quarters since before the game's story begins. Gino and the Touten Corps are familiar with older stories involving him, which will be detailed in Arc IV.

Can't wait to see how complicated this gets in a few weeks when Arc IV comes out.

My god, you are a master at this teasing thing. And Arc IV in a few weeks? Wonderful!

Woot. Score one for Bruno.

Either Rayne (*weeps at cliche*)
or
One of the charactes we only met at the beginning, so Kovak, Vec, (Not Auburn. Doesnt make sense) maybe Violet
or
Someone we havent met yet.

Does Sparrow have to be one person though? Since no one seems to know who he (or she) is, on Sparrow could 'pass the baton' to a successor.

Well, has anyone here watched Hot Fuzz or not? If you have there was more than one bad guy, so there could be 5 Sparrow people. Or they could be people who were like testements, people who died but then revived by a powerful being, and they were people who we saw died.

If Sparrow was more than one person, then each different person would have different skills, right?

Hence his usage of more than one type of magic. I don't recall exactly, but does he ever use earth magic in the same scene as any other type?

I still hope he's either Vec or just some random assassin that Kovak hired. Anything else would really kill it for me.

When he fights Cade again after the horse chase, he fights with earth then knocks him off the cliff with lightning.

I hate those Lodites! Each time it gets up to the arrows, the game just stays there, music playing, nothing happening.

And also, I die from dodging sometimes. O_o

So there might 3 Sparrow people, like clones but it might work.
I've thought of clones....But it just seems so...unfitting for a game of this genre... I mean, it's like mixing Star Wars with Dragon Ball Z.... Or somthing of that nature...O_o

Edit:Al most 100 pages for this thread!! WoOt!

Well, the reason why I think its Kovak is because in Arc III he reports being tired after a Sparrow sighting.

But no point in speculating right?

It's impossible for Kovak to be Sparrow. If he was Sparrow, he would have died when he was hit by Shadehorn. And I don't remember that scene, care to remind me?

No, it was Vec who was hit by Shadehorn. Sparrow and Shadehorn have never met.

Actually, that's what he meant. It was just poorly worded. He was saying that if Vec was Sparrow (who had been shown not to have any of the earth magic slowness and thus would probably have the durability) he would be dead/seriously injured after Shadehorn's hit at the party (Which he said he only survived because of his earth magic durability).

When did he say that? Was it at the beginning of Arc III? Remember, he could just be lieing a bit. Remember, he DID say "Shame I can't tell her everything?" He needs to keep his identity concealed to the hand, the reason of which can be seen after he kills that other mage dude (forget his name, but the guy Ketsu was getting pissed at Kovak about).

And Powerdude, it's the Sparrow sighting in ArcIII. Sombody says (I think it's Vec to Auburn) that Kovak is very weary.
