Screw you. Okay, I dunno.
Okay, here's one. Maybe it's Vec. Makes sense. They both know Earth Magic. So far, Vec hasn't been seen to be slow, particularly.
It'd explain why he was seen leaving Fort Drake.
It'd explain a bit more about the bit when Kovak says "I think you know who I mean".
It'd rub salt in the wound about Emma, from a writer's perspective.
It'd explain why he would say getting knocked out by Shadehorn was "Not his best moment".
So far, Vec and Sparrow have not been in the same place at one time, too.

Vec said that his surviving Shadehorn's hit was down to durability he gained through studying earth magic and the current assumption is that Sparrow learns skills by copying and thus would not be affiliated with any element.

That theory does have some point, although Mina is Violet's Aunt (a quote in Arc II mentions this), so from the short story, she'd probably come from Mina's brother (who seemed to have poor morals, leaving the village to burn and all). I still think Rayne is the best choice so far, since he seemed to have the thirst for power. But I'm sure Arc IV will provide many more hints, as of now we've only seen Sparrow twice.

It's defiantly not Vec though, since in order to survive Shadehorn, he'd have to be Earth, so if we assume Sparrow is the same as Torin, then Sparrow cannot be Vec. Otherwise Vec would have to be some kind of dual mage who uses Wind and Earth.

Anyways, I have no idea when the Arc II guide will be done. I'm done with the mine and I would have probably finished around now if my computer with all the files hadn't gotten all screwed up. If worse comes to worse, I'll just go off a backup and continue around August, when my computer should be fixed.

Then again, we don't have any evidence that spell-copiers *cannot* learn magic through traditional means as well.

Also, I'm working on an Arc III guide.

Anyway, I have some more good screens. =D

Pwnt. As a side note, you should end your posts a paragraph earlier more often.

Heh, anyway, I found that entire dungeon funny. It was a good touch, making (probably Barry) make a completely inane design. Also, those clocks were a bitch, and I've been cursing your name for it, Artemis. I guess I should have been appealing to the dark lords for Volrath's eternal suffering, then?

The poem riddles, however, were very nice, and they made me realize just how interested I am in Solest, based off of all this random information I've remembered.

Just wondering, but how many playable characters do you guys intend to have? If there are more than the 6 shown, then maybe Gabriella or Morias (since he was once friends with Cade) has hope of joining eventually...

6? Unless that april fools screen is suggesting that Bubba is a playable character then there are only 5.

You guys don't respect my own puzzle-making genius enough! I can't live in the SHADOW of ArtBane any longer! I quit!! :'(

Also, Bean, there are other playable characters on the way...not all that many, but one or two. To reveal who they are would spoil the fun, however.

Haha, I noticed someone in the April fools screen shot that I helped edit  I wonder if he could be the one... this should be interesting.

Also, about the theory. I don't think it could be Violet. Here's why.

Sparrow steals the proof that Stoic and Shroud had. The long chase, but he ends up getting away. From that point on, The two heroes head back to the port and soon after get on a boat and leave the port. This is where they see Violet on the ship.

Now, the question remains, how far would sparrow have to travel to get the proof to Kovak? Was Kovak still in the town? Or did he leave? Sparrow would have returned the proof to Kovak. Now, depeding on how far Cade and Bones had traveled before they were attacked, they might have gotten a ways away from the town.

Your probably wondering where I'm going with this. Sparrow lost his horse. He might have been able to retrieve it when he escaped, but the fact is, most likely it slowed him down. Cade would have gotten back and they would continue on to their home.

They leave, was it, a day after they return on the boat? where they saw Violet. The point is, after all that happened, how could Sparrow get all the way to Kovak, and all the way to the Port and still be ready to head on a boat out of town? It just doesn't make sence. I really don't see how it could be Violet at all.

correct me if Im wrong, but didn't Kovak return to port Arianna? That meant that Sparrow was heading up there anyway to get the proof to Kovak?

And who's to say he hasn't given it to him yet?

You know a game has lots of fans when people start writing 'theories' =)

Btw, I played through all 3 arcs in 2 days, I havn't done a game marathon like that in awhile. I'd give a long review but I'm pressed for time and the 95 pages here speaks for itself.

Great job! :thumb:

I still think Sparrow is Cade's brother. From a meta perspective, it seems only obvious - why is Cade's brother so revolved upon? And did he find that magical power, the kind that Sparrow has? It seems the logical choice. However, Volrath may know this. I don't think he is the type of person to make something so predictable. Then again, it also adds a certain kind of tension, much like the following:
Obito/Tobi relationship in Naruto

Korin, I thought that too at first, but I dunno. It's possible, and Until I can come up with another theory, I'll stick with that one XD There is no proof for, or against it however XD as far as I remember anyway.
