Master of the Wind

Master of the Wind (Complete!)

Quick question:
I couldn't help but think you guys probably named Bubba after Bubba Ho-Tep, since you seem to have a lot of his music in your games; correct me if I'm wrong.

Now here's the question: If I'm right about the above statement, did you do the same thing when naming Sparrow? More speciffically, did you name Sparrow after Masterplan's song, "Falling Sparrow"?

You guys got me into Masterplan, and I was just listening to some tracks. I found the song and listened to it, and the thought just came to me, heh.

Random, I know.

Heh it seems more and more people are figuring out where we got some of our names. I don't think Bubba was named after Bubba Ho-Tep although I could be wrong since Volrath came up with it. But Sparrow is indeed named after the Falling Sparrow song. There is a little more Master of the Wind trivia for ya.

Dammit! I was so close to figuring out who Sparrow was. I thought it was the guy at the monastry who keeps calling the villain "Master Ketsu" But then, he turns up in two places at once... Ah well... It also btter not be Cade's Brother. That would annoy me.

Also, I'm a bit stuck in the ice dungeon. I've got the two top swtiches in the large room, but I can't figure out how to get to the bottom two. What am I doing wrong?

Unless they bring his father back from the dead that's going to be hard to pull off.

Also Bruno, you probably just missed the side rooms when you were going through the temple. In the rooms with the fountains check the sides to find the bottom two switches.

you mean like, the one with the Yeti sign in it? I swear I checked there...

If sparrow turns out to be Cade's Brother, I will throw myself off a bridge. You hear? You will have blood on your hands.

What you could do is hint at it for a long time before you actually reveal who it is.

Seconded (minus the bridge part)

Meh, given that you seem to be anime connoisseurs, you should do it the Evangelion way (Who killed Kaji ? :thumb: )

That's obvious, it was PenPen.

I've been telling myself to play this game for a while now but I've been to busy to give it any attention till recently. I must say I'm glad I did. Out of all the demos I've played this, and a couple others managed to keep my attention.

The dungeons are fun and challenging. I like how the enemies are difficult, forcing you to use all the resources at your disposal, but not TOO difficult to the point that you lose interest. The battles force me to think- beyond simple button mashing- about which enemies I want to kill first and which attacks I should use. When I die in most demos I just go "Oh well" and never play it again, but I actually want to continue here, which is a good thing. And all without an over decorated CBS I might add ;)

I enjoyed the game's setting, and it’s really great that you decided to tell the games back story, through your quest rather than some long scrolling narrative in the beginning. I REALLY REALLY like that. No, seriously... nice. And speaking of setting, the fact that there are different races is awesome, and is reminiscent of the old Breath of Fire games. A skeleton as your best friend and partner? Genius.

The only problem for me is the lag I get for some reason. But I think it’s just me (If someone has mentioned this in previous posts I apologize but I didn't want to wade through 70 some odd pages of spoilers ^_^;)

Anyways I’m going to stop my “new fan” rant here. I’m still in class =D. Keep up the great work and I’m looking forward to more!

Im playing arc I + II and im stuck in the church, in the room with 4 torchs and i can light only 3 of them to open the door. How I do it? :P

I had to look up a strategy guide, too. Go onto the Master of the Wind Website, and it's there.

This is a bit of personal opinion, here, don't take it too harshly, but I was disappointed with the start of this game. Not the forst - the monastry. Too much Backstory and dialogue for my liking. You should have put a few more puzzles in there. Maybe allowed the player to play the monk fighting classes. But as I say, That's my opinion. The rest of it was good. ArcII is still my favourite, though.

Are we allowed to post glitches in this thread?

Sparrow is a bad enough dude to be Cade's brother.

I hear ya!...But then again...
When Cade entered the room, it was very dark. And Sparrow moved really quickly and each strike was spot on. I ask you something, if it was dark, how could Sparrow be so deadly? My opinion: Sparrow's default school of magic is lightning. This would cancel Sparrow being Cade's brother, for his family trained in Wind magic... ... ...
